Scotland...the beginning...

Edinburgh Castle was our first stop in Scotland.....the weather was perfect and the sunshine bought out a few other people to look at the castle......

Waiting in the queue for tickets gave me the opportunity to take some pics over the wall...

Tickets in hand we set off.....

Views from the battlements.....

Leaving the castle we wandered around the city for a while....

Found a great pub for dinner.......

And headed back to the "wee flat" for the night. The next day we headed to Inverness via a couple of stops...one of which was Linlithgow....oh and there just happened to be patchwork shop there...who knew :)

A quick visit to a wonderful church and a palace....a coffee to go and we hit the road again....Next stop...Inverness.....

These pics represent a very small percentage of the several hundred...ok maybe more like a thousand I have taken since I arrived in the UK. So many photo ops........

Lakes District and the Midlands to come.......

'Til next time........Lorraine x

Beautiful pictures of a sunny Scotland. Coming from the Netherlands I have to admit I have never been there but it sure does look pretty!

Edinburgh is just beautiful - we went there for one night and stayed 7. The festival was on and we had a fabulous time. So happy you're having a wonderful time.
