I'm sure I heard the garden sigh!

I am pretty sure that when I went to bed last night with the sound of rain on the roof the other noise I could hear (and no it wasn't the prince snoring!) was the sound of the garden sighing....we haven't had any rain for ages and everything was dry and brittle underfoot....the sounds of the cars squishing thru the water on the road and water running into the tank were wonderful! Everything smelled fresh when we went for our walk this morning and it probably looked good too, but with daylight saving still with us it is dark when we walk. I love the shortening of the days though as we move closer to winter - my favourite time of the year!
