the view through the cutting .............
When we got home from the walk I took a pic of the quilt I got back from Sharon yesterday.....I didn't have a handy tree branch like Donna so opted for the front verandah......I am pleased with the quilt and hope to get the binding on this morning so I can hand sew it tonight....haven't measured it - that would be too daunting I think!!!
So its off to the sewing room for me.......my holidays are going way too fast!!
'Til next time....................Lorraine

I would use my verendah if I had one like yours........lol.....you must have a beautiful old house......
Hey Lorraine! Yes, like Donna, I love your verandah - hmmmm, maybe you can share some house photos!! The railway photos were fun, too - I love old/historic buildings of all kinds! And of course, your quilt looks stunning! Wow! You are certainly crossing jobs off your "To do" list! Happy holidays! Can't wait to see what you get up to next! Bear Hugs! KRIS (Tag Along Teddies)
Terrific quilt Lorraine, and the verendah is a great way to display it. I see you have a lovely water tank at the side of your house. No such thing here in the US, too much acid rain to have tanks....
Love the veranda...makes me want to sit there with some hand sewing or a good book.
Enjoy your holiday!

Love the station... and your verandah... and your quilt... everything really!! Hope you're getting lots of that binding sewn on so you can rug up and start stitching tonight!! I've got a very unhappy little girl here today.. more teeth I think. Can I officially say "I'm over teething!". Better go and comfort her again. Seeya!
I love it lorraine! The new banner looks great....i am suprised there is no cat or dog in the picture though....you must have sneeked out without them knowing! Jo x
Your quilt looks great on your verandah.
LOL We have a few stations like that here! It's wonderful to see reminders of how we used to be.
david and his sisters used to play along that train track when they lived nearby. we recently had a bit of a walk along it - a trip down memory lane for him.
wouldn't it be lovely if they got the train service up and running again. i'd love to catch a train from adelaide.
your quilt looks fantastic - i don't envy you having to bind it though - it looks mighty big!

Oh what a beautiful walk, sure to inspire great thoughts and clever conversation!
the quilt is beautiful, and beautifully displayed.
Oh my I love that quilt. I love how it is staged on the iron railing, too amid the green. So so pretty.
Quilt makes a super blog-topper, but I fell in love and downloaded that neat train tracks scenic shot. Nostalgic and dreamy feel to it.
