When bloggers meet.....................

.....what is the collective noun for a group of bloggers when they get together....???? well, there is a murder of crows, a gaggle of geese, a flush of ducks or a parliament of owls to name a few.....(none of which have any resemblance to a group of bloggers I might had - except maybe the owls!)....................

Had fun at Hetties today when I caught up with Leanne, Levin and Emily , Valerie (who is new to the blogging fraternity) and Claire.....along with lots of other ladies who enjoyed the morning tea and helped raise money for cancer research......oh and we did some shopping as well....it is the first time I have visited the shop but it won't be the last!.....I bought some patterns and a little book on little quilts....the ALQS has really whet my appetite for little quilts!

Also caught up with the lovely Ellen......we met many years ago and it doesn't matter if it is two days or two years between "catch ups" it is always the same....fantastic to see you again Ellen!!

It was a fun morning and I enjoyed catching up with everyone....some of the girls will be at Loxton at the end of July so counting down until then.......

During the week (which was a short one, but a very busy one workwise) I received a lovely surprise in the mail.......from Mary Jo who commented a while ago on my Emmy's Braids quilt (still not finished but on the list!) and I sent her a pattern.......she sent this through as a "thank you" and can I say Mary Jo that it really made my day - thank you so much!

Last night I finished the binding on the quilt which is on the banner of my blog.........It is so good to get a finish!! Mark was sitting on the couch when I put the last stitch in the quilt and said since I had finished this one perhaps I could make a start on his.....he has put in his order for a black and white quilt - I don't have any black and white fabrics in my stash (believe it or not!!) so will start collecting once I have chosen the pattern......(of course he will have a say in the choosing..........!)

The weekend has once again gone way too quickly..........great to catch up with everyone today and we must do it again .....perhaps in the Barossa next time.....

'til next time....................Lorraine
