The cupcakes have landed!

Thank you to Doris my swap partner in the cupcake swap run by Sharon (who runs amok in antique stores with her hubby from time to time!) .......................the parcel arrived yesterday and I opened it at work.....no willpower when it comes to opening parcels......there are those who have them in their homes for days savouring them.......not me!! gotta get in there and check all the goodness out! .......and there was plenty of goodness in this parcel!! Thank you Doris everything was just fabulous!!!!

The card had a gorgeous little applique in it with good wishes from Doris....there is a cupcake recipe book (the double layered carrot cupcake with lemon filling and frosting appeals to me!!)...among others.....just toooo yummy! a cupcake bath "bomb"......some fizzy goodness for the bath.........some fab cupcake pans......I am sure there will be some special occasion coming up soon to use those!! ...................a fantabulous mini quilt made from oh so pretty batiks ...........
.....and an apron.....I am speechless! ...and for those who know me this is not something that happens often!! I got Elly, one of the girls I work with to model the apron for me (on the proviso I only showed the apron!!).......the colours are just beautiful......cool blues with a cupcake applique......

............thank you Doris.....for being an awesome swap partner and of course to Sharon for organising the swap......it was such fun!!
The mailing date for the bag swap is fast approaching so finishing that is on the agenda for the weekend. Mark is playing in a footy final on Saturday afternoon so no stitching will be done then! thanks to everyone for good wishes following the previous post containing baby news....we are all very excited!!.......now that we have recovered from the surprise!!
'til next time............Lorraine

All the goodies your partner sent you are lovely! I was inspired by your lovely black, white and red mini tote a few posts ago and made one myself. I've put it on my blog, with a link to yours.

Hi Lorraine Congrats on the baby news Great that you don't have to wait months either mind you if it had been me with my track record the baby would of arrived before I even knew it was there !! Hope you made a decision on the bag I didnt like mine either I think when you make it you know what you did wrong ! I slept on it then said would I like to get it answer yes so ok :) If we get stressed about swaps they are no fun ??

The cupcake swap was so fun to read about on so many blogs. I didn't participate and did I ever miss out on all those goodies. Love your stuff and that apron!

what a nice package! I just read your comment to May Britt about doing the many wonderful items in the Angel Swap - after seeing people making not just one of the items, but several, I was thinking I was quite a slacker! I like 2015 - sounds reasonable to me! SuzK

Wow, you really made a haul! Love the apron. And, of course, I'm "into" cupcake books right now. Have fun with all your goodies.

Oh did you get one good package of goodies. I was not a participant but have certainly enjoyed seeing what creativity people came up with on the exchange.
