Having a lazy day today.......first day of daylight saving here - it will be with us for six months - so like it or loathe it it is here!! Had brunch with friends from Adelaide we haven't seen in a while and wandered around the town afterwards like we were tourists! I plan to do some stitching today..........once I clear a path to the machine that is!! I need to get a couple of swaps finished....well - started first!!!
Yesterday the lovely Sharon from Patchwork On Parade call by yesterday to deliver a quilt she has quilted for me......this quilt goes back a long time......it was a BOM and the top has been finished for a few years........ and it has been languishing in the "to quilt" pile for a while....last time Sharon was here she took it away and once the binding is on I can class it as another finish!
Nice to have it quilted after all this time.....there are quite a few more tops waiting.....I think a 30's Dresden Plate quilt will be next in line.....
Last week I posted a pic of a cushion I made for a friend's daughter's boyfriend for his mum for her birthday............the kids loved it (and said Mum did as well) and during the week they dropped in to work and gave me this card and teapot to say "thanks".......I have a few teapots on my shelf in the kitchen and knowing I liked cupcakes they bought this one for me.....thanks guys - I love it!!
Not much happening this afternoon....I slept badly last night and am tired today.....the sun coming thru the window is making me sleepy! but the sewing room beckons!!
I hope you are having a great weekend whatever you are doing!
'Til nexttime..........................Lorraine

Hi Loz....I must say I do like daylight savings....and your quilt Loz it is just so gorgeous....
Oh dear. It seems I am the only daylight saving abhorer who reads your blog! I hate the first day especially. So tired! Now I have to wait 6 months to get that hour back! (I know! I am a complete whingebag about daylight saving! Okay, I don't do the curtains fading or the cows having trouble giving milk, but I do say, "I'm tired!" a lot.)
It is early Sunday am here and you've already posted a pretty quilt! Thanks for sharing....she did an awesome job quilting and now you'll get great gratification in your binding finish! Get some rest! I hate sleepless nights.
Hurray for daylight savings...:o) I love that!! More light to mankind!! ;o)
