Polka Dots & Rick Rack ........ received

Arrived home from work tonight to find a parcel waiting for me.......yay......my PD&RR swap parcel..........

....thanks to Jeanne for a fabulous gift......A project bag - DMC threads and a "thimble" note pad.....and the cutest little card! The colours in the bag are great and Jeanne has obviously been lurking on my blog and knows I do loads of stitcheries so the DMC threads are a most welcome addition to my sewing supplies! I bought a pattern for this project bag some time ago and have the mesh and the zip but havne't had the time to date to make it up so Jeanne has chosen well.......

Each of the girls who gathered at Amanda's house last Saturday received one......very cute...and it was hard to choose which colour to pick!

On another topic all together............"Movember"!! Australian readers would be familiar with the Movember fund raiser for men's health issues....such as prostate cancer.....Parcipants grow a "mo" for the month of November and are sponsored to raise money.......a group of guys from work - the Mo-Bros have raised over $2,000 in the past few weeks - a great effort. The last of the fundraising lunches was held today and some of the girls from the office decided to join their male counterparts ..........thanks to some shrewd shopping on e-bay................

...sorry girls....I did warn you this pic was destined for my blog!!! I don't think the fake mo's lasted long...general consensus was that they were itchy and annoying.....and not the best look!!

Congratulations to the guys tho...who have had varying degrees of success with growing facial hair and have raised some money for men's health issues.
