Whatever happened to that young thin person???

I had a bit of a melt down over the weekend......it seemed everywhere I looked there was something that needed to be done and I think it all got to me .......but it was all ok in the end.....I managed to get some cleaning done and get the house in some sort of order....which is what I am trying to do with my desk at work at the moment.....getting there ........slowly but surely.......I actually found the desktop today.........February has been a busy month and I think I just got tired!! I have to remember I am not as young as I used to be! LOL
It was great to have Rhiannon home over the weekend......she hobbled up the front steps on her crutches and was soon set up in her comfy chair with the wonderful example of a "cankle" up on a cushion....! Ligament damage has been diagnosed so she has to stay off it for a while......easier said than done....there are netball finals to be played in a few weeks......!!

Our attic has been the storage place for boxes of "stuff" belonging to the kids...they have moved house/flat/unit a few times and each time we have collected the things that didn't go in the new place.......Rhiannon decided it was time to sort thru a couple of the boxes and we had a good laugh over some of the old photos we came across.....who was that young thin person in the photos with babies....!!???? The babies are now young adults with careers and partners and kids of their own .......and the young thin person is long gone....LOL......but she is happy and very proud of her family!

No time for stitching over the weekend so no "show and tell"........almost time to post off the Time for Tea swap.....finishing touches to be put to that this weekend.....and the way the week is going the weekend will be here before I know it!!!

Speaking of time....it's getting late...so........'til next time..................Lorraine

Ooooh the ankle does look fat. I would have to look back a long time to find a thin me.

She did that ankle very well! (Love the cushion) Everything (my life I mean) has been on fast forward this year! I'm hoping it will slow down a little soon so I can catch my breath! My 20 year old has been uploading photos to facebook this week. Friends keep commenting on how skinny I was with disbelief in their voices. Thanks for that everyone!

OUCH - that looks very very uncomfortable and that had to hurt big time. Hope she's better for the net ball finals (what is that, LOL) Now make sure and take care of yourself. I've started to realize for myself these last few months that I just can't do it all like I used to - I'm sure it's an age thing. I'm learning to say no to somethings and learning it's OK to do that. Somethings you can't do that to and have to be done - others it's OK to say no or just say not now maybe in a bit. Easy said then done, but I'm learning. Take care sister :)

Hugs- Karen

That 'uncle' (my daughters' word)certainly looks like it needs to rest but how good must it feel sitting on that gorgeous cushion....love it.
It is that "meltdown" time of the year, we have just gotten over Christmas that always comes too quick, we have had a lot of hot yukky weather and it has been a stressful start to the year here in Aus, so you sit down with your best bit of stitching and take it easy....
