Back to work today after a long weekend.......I spent a lot of time in the sewing room ......... some time cleaning the house.....caught up with family....and generally had a lovely break!! I put the finishing touches to my Time for Tea swap.......I have enjoyed this swap...the one and only I have entered into this year.....!! My parcel is now winging its way over to ............ overseas. Here is a little sneak peek of the parcel..........................
I hope my swap partner likes the contents!!!
A little while ago I received a lovely gift from Pat...........included was the pattern and a button kit along with a little hanger to make this....................the Tipsy Snowman ...........just hanging around on my front verandah...........no snow here Sunshine!!
.........and laying around on the church pew ............................
He was such fun to make ......I love the red silk tassles on his scarf......I think I will leave him hanging around somewhere in the house - he is too cute to put away until Christmas!!
Thank you Pat...you are indeed a generous friend! It was wonderful to spend some time in the sewing room during the weekend.......just being in there surrounded by all my "stuff" is good for the soul!
I started on the first Breast of Friends block from the Homespun magazine.....my needleturn applique is a bit rusty....make that a lot rusty!! I think the first bird will be getting a makeover!!
Not much happening in the world of Loz ............I am enjoying getting some projects started and some finished.....I haven't had to enter the supermarket since my foray into the unkown last week.....! Thanks Cheryl...(from Oz).......grocery shopping definitely does get in the way of quilting!!
Off to watch Packed to the Rafters..........!
'til next time.........................Lorraine
