Phew!

The conference I am attending started today so the Prince (aka Wally).....[seriously it is like being on holiday with Wally (from Where's Wally fame) on steroids!]......was left to his own devices........I think he has covered most of Sydney today....a bit of shopping ....a bit of sightseeing....hanging outside of the Sunrise studio................you know the sort of thing!! ......he has bought a new suitcase so that must mean I can visit DJ's and buy a couple of things on Wednesday before we fly home.......well that's my take on the situation anyway....! We have been on the go since we got in on Saturday afternoon......just time to drop the bags at the hotel do a quick post to let everyone know we arrived ok and we were out the door..............I am impressed with the public transport system here........and I can say that because I have travelled on just about every type available since we got here.......we caught the ferry out to go to the football on Saturday night......for once the Prince led me astray by telling me it was a 120m walk to the stadium......hmmmmm.......seemed to be a flaw in his grand plan.............we ended up walking about 4km!! ...but it was worth it.....we were able to get great seats.....and were treated to a close game with the Swans taking out a narrow win.....since I don't follow either team I didn't really mind who won...but found myself yelling for the Swans in the dying minutes of the game (mind you since we were surrounded by Swans supporters it seemed like the sensible thing to do!

I spent yesterday at the Rocks while the Prince climbed the Bridge........I girl has to eat lunch.....

.........choccy coated strawberries on a stick.....can't get much better than that.......! and I didn't forget the Prince and bought some to take back to the hotel for supper!!

I did bring a little stitching with me .....although I haven't done any of it the scissors have been handy for cutting the price tag off a scarf I had to have!.......not that the weather here in Sydney necessitates wearing a scarf.....very mild days and nights!

A couple of pics from yesterday.............

Will be back with another instalment soon..............!

Til next time...................Lorraine

Of course the Prince wants you to fill the suitcase up! Would he have bought it otherwise? (Not like he doesn't know you!) Looks like you are having fun! So nice to be seeing and doing different things.

Glad to hear you are having a good time. There is a great pub up the back of the "old" shops at the Rocks. The Great Aussie pub. Nice food great pizzas, lovely beers. Close by is an old "house" as it was in the original Sydney days. It is kind of a minature mussuem. You can buy vintage stuff and tour the house.Worth a look if you have time.
