Bears on the move.............

The bedroom is next on the list for a makeover so today the room was dismantled and the furniture moved to various locations (read for that....wherever it would fit!) around the house.......these guys (and more of their friends) usually reside in the bedroom so they were on the move today.................

They are now wedged in the sewing room along with a clothes rack and all my shoes....! Not a lot of room left in the room for any sewing activity though!

Thought I would share a couple of "before and after" pics of the passage...............

and lounge room floors.......

The results to date have made the reorganisation of the house worth it............and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel ....let's hope it isn't a train! LOL.......a few more weeks and things should return to normal...whatever that is!

Apart from the renos there isn't much happening - I hope to get some stitching done during the week.......make that I NEED to get some stitching done! .......and given that we are now back in the lounge room where the heater is I may even stay up later than 8.30....!

Have a great week .....................'Til next time.............Lorraine

Hey Lorraine! Oh ... poor teddies have to give up their comfy spot for a while!! Mind you, the photos show how WONDERFULLY your floors are coming up, so I'm sure the teddies won't mind TOO much! Your newly polished floors sure are giving your home a lovely warm glow - I bet it will help to feel cosy and warm even in winter. We're about to tackle our kitchen, so I'll be in the 'pack up and reshcuffle' mode next week too - ick! Hate packing!! Ah well, I just keep reminding myself of the new kitchen at the end of all the hard work! :0) Can't wait to see more of your pics! Bear Hugs! KRIS

Very lovely refinishing--the difference is so marked you must be ready to dance on those beautiful new floors! I hope things continue as smoothly as they can. Maybe the Teddies can break dance a little...:)

Looks fantastic Lorraine. Don't mind the mess in your sewing room, get in there and sew and save your sanity.

How good do the floors look? Simply amazing and they have lightened the whole look. I cant believe the difference it has made. Don't envy you the dust etc it is a tough job but it appears to be well worth it.
Take care

Cute bears. What a treat to see all the work that you are in the middle of. I am sure that grabbing a stitchery every now and then is a great stress release. I was telling my class that sometimes I find myself thinking that I need to embroider, just for a few minutes. So I do, and it really helps me feel like it is a treat in the middle of very busy times.
