Just when you think.............

you have things sussed everything changes!.........Just take my sewing room for instance.........
It has undergone a (major) makeover.....from this............

to this........
and the other side of the room ......from this...

........to this...............

Presiding over the new (minimilist) look is one of my bears......who has borrowed my Princess tiara and sceptre............

A couple of tops waiting to be quilted........and check out the legs under the hexagon quilt top.....who could they belong to?

Here she is.........! This doll was made for me by a friend some years ago........attractive isn't she?? I had some workmen in the house a while ago and I heard them laughing - they asked me later about the doll and said the reason they were laughing was because they knew someone who looked just like the doll.......I wasn't sure quite what to say!!!! LOLOL

I have had a few weeks annual leave and most of it (apart from a couple of stitching weekends away with the girls) has been spent cleaning/tidying and decluttering........I have been doing some handstitching at night and have finished a couple of blocks from Rosalie Quinlan's Christmas quilt.....(never too early to start Christmas projects!).......

I was in the upstairs study today and I think I see the first hint of Autumn in the garden!! The nights and mornings have a coolness about them that says winter is on the way.....Autumn is one of my favourite seasons......

Back to work tomorrow.....I'm ready to go back.......I love my job and I work with a great bunch of people!

'Til next time......................Lorraine

Hope you have a great day at work tomorrow. Your sewing room looks fantastic - you could have a new career as a tv declutterer. Love your Christmas stitcheries - the pattern is in my never-ending "one day ..." list. Talk to you when I come home.

Wow! Love the before and after shots! Lol! You couldn't wait to get back to work, huh? Hope you have a great day! We are all loving that cool crisp feeling in the air here. Autumn is wonderful. (I live near "Autumn Avenue". I'd love to live on Autumn Ave. My whole life would be different. Lol!)

What a great job of de-cluttering..
I sew much better when things are straight and in place..

I need you to come and re-do my sewing room. I have so much crammed into it that I can't ever make it look good. And I have parted with all that I can bear to part with.
The doll doesn't look like anyone I know but she is a character all right!

Are you selling any of your decluttering goodies? I did that a year or so agao and sold fabric, etc. on etsy and made a nice bit of spending money...
