Introducing Beatrice and Albert (Bea and Bertie)

Look who came home with me from my drive in the country (or to be specific...the Hills!) Bea on the left of the pic and Bertie on the right....aka "the kids"............

I am sure you will be hearing a bit more about them in the future......

On the way to pick up the kids I called in to the Patchwork Apple .....I had to get some advice from Jane on the last round of the paperbag quilt......Kris arrived while I was there - it seems we tend to catch up at Jane's ...and without any forward planning......! My paperbag quilt top was ready to be picked up....it has turned out well.......I haven't taken any pics of it as yet......have been a bit distracted this afternoon!

It is a beautiful time of year in the hills......there were light showers of rain during the drive ...and it was cold.......everything was green ..... and my car is now brown! ......there were dirt roads to negotiate!

Time I was getting some sleep....the tennis is finished......and the kids will be up early ...I am off to have lunch with my stitching group tomorrow......might even get some stitching done....!

'Til next time.....................Lorraine

Ah....it was a cat scratcher after all... lol

We are a family of allergies.. not sure how many times I had to explain to the kids that we couldn't have cats because they were allergic..

You're soon not going to have any free time to stitch, Mummy! But there will be lots of laughter at the babies' antics :)

Lovely to get out and drive sometimes :)

I guess it was raining cats and dogs and the cats landed in your arms.... They are precious and I look forward to hearing about them. I love their names!

Loz, they are just gorgeous and I love their names.

Guess this means you're settled in to your new place. All you need is a few fish and the arrival of Rose!

Enjoy your new fur babies.

They are SO beautiful! I love cats. And what a lovely day you had, what with your shopping and catching up with buddies and driving through that beautiful scenery. Sounds like a good day to me and a good day with lunch today. Enjoy!

Hi Lorraine, I am not really a cat person (we had siamese when I was growing up and it kind of put me off for life) but they look very cute, I am sure they will be great helpers round the house or will end up getting up to no end of trouble.

Gorgeous, lovely eyes. Make sure you get yourself one of those very useful lint rollers from Ikea, and say goodbye to wearing dark coloured clothing (white cat hair shows up) I know only too well....

we've just come back from the south east and it was a lovely drive....it's so nice seeing the earth green again. i love that trip through the back way from the hills to the barossa - it makes me want to live in the hills - especially when you hit a town with beautiful autumn leaves, the smell of wood smoke in the air ..... perfect.
love your new additions - too cute for words :)

How are the kids going Loz? Lovely photos in this post. I have to agree with Levin (I think!) it is so nice to see everything so green at the moment! I am in front of the heater really enjoying the cold. (Well, being warm whilst it is cold outside!) Hope you and the kids are having a wonderful first week together!
