And so my CW Journey starts............

I have been wanting to start the Civil War journey for a while now......an opportunity came up to join the CW Club at the Patchwork Apple - yesterday was the first "meeting"......I have a large fabric stash but very few of the repro prints .......so begins the journey......

I have always loved the more traditional blocks and I wasn't disappointed with the first two from the book.....yes....I have even done my "homework".......I thought if I didn't do it today it would be time for the next gathering and I wouldn't be ready........

The red theme will continue with Red Club at the Patchwork Apple next Saturday......

The fur kids (also known as Circus Loz) keep me busy and entertained......Never a dull moment here! Mark comes over for tea on Sunday nights......this week he bought their puppy with him....Lexi is Rose's cousin and the great grand daughter of my previous dog Chelsea - the two girls had heaps of fun and will sleep well tonight....we tried to get a pic of them together....but they were moving too fast for that....so here they are in a more calm moment......

Rose .........(butter wouldn't melt in my mouth).......

And Lexi...........check out this face!

Not much else going on here...work is busy.......I had to work at a function yesterday after I got home from Civil War club........organising Mayoral functions is part of my job and they aren't usually on a weekend....but it was only for a couple of hours so wasn't too onerous. There have been a few different "versions" of winter lurgy going around the office...I managed to catch one last week....just a head cold...and it was gone in a couple of days.....nothing stays with me for too long....! Oooooooooooooo..that came out a bit bitter....LOLOL I think I am getting my sense of humour back....!

'Til next time.....................Lorraine (aka the Ringmaster of Circus Loz)

Hey Lorraine! Oh ... look! Your first two comments are from Kris's with a 'K'! I just love the title of "Circus Loz" maybe it's time to rename your blog - new start, new name! :0) And what super-cute mascots you have ... Rose is sucha sweetie and looks like she belongs in one of those puppy calendars. Love your blocks. After green, red is my next fave colour. And wonderful to hear that your sense of humour is bouncing back. It's the essential 6th sense, I reckon! :0) Bear Hugs! KRIS

Your blocks are great, and I am positively drooling over the fabric choices. Those are so my colors. Where did the kids hide during all the romping and playing of the pups? Have a wonderful day. Winona

I LOVE all those reds! They would be perfect in my bow tie quilt. I'll have to look for similar ones in my LQS.

The puppies are so cute! Hope Circus Loz is not driving you round the bend...

Hi Lorraine,
lovely blocks, if you need a few repro's let me know I am sure I went through that stage somewhere in my stash. The fur baby has grown and his hair is getting lovely curls. Your right butter wouldn't melt.
