Is it Friday yet?

The end of another weekend.......yikes......it was just Friday night ....wasn't it?

Friday night is my favourite night of the week......get home from work - get into the daggy trackies - and relax.....two wonderful days stretch ahead...a blank canvas...well blank except for things I want to do .....weekends are only for things you WANT to do.....aren't they??? I was busily stitching away on A Gardener's Journal on Friday night........after a while I thought it might be getting late......a check of the clock said no...it wasn't late....it was in fact really early....early on Saturday morning....!!! Rosie was asleep next to me having decided that the quilt block I was working on didn't warrant her time and effort to play with as I stitched....

It is a tough life for a puppy!

Today was very productive...I planted some ground cover plants...(what?...more gardening?...yikes....! this is becoming a habit) ....did some ironing......(fabric for the baby quilt I am working on.....nothing so mundane as work clothes).......and spent the afternoon cutting and stitching the baby quilt.......using Whimsy.........liking the look of it so far!

........had the girls over for stitching yesterday - not that any stitching got done...but it was still a lovely way to spend the afternoon. Mum and her partner Ken called in as well so it was a very social day! Am spoiled for choice tonight as far as sport goes.....tennis.....or the Tour de France....it doesn't seem like a year ago I was watching the Tour......so much has changed since then!! I will have to watch at least a few games of tennis though....am a big Rafa fan.....!

Look away now if you don't want to see puppy/kitten pics....OK...there are only two........I couldn't resist including these....

.......this is "Rosie of the Jungle"...exploring the rockery in the back garden....."how good AM I"?...where are those pesky kittens???.........inside somewhere I guess.........wimps!

..........and this is the look she has come to expect from the most supieror kittens.....this after they have tired of her style of play and found a high spot from which to look down on her........

'Til next time.........................Lorraine

I just love pets and Rosie is about as sweet as can be. Your kitties "innocent look" reminds me of the cats on Lady and the Tramp where they caused lots of trouble the poor Lady got blamed. :o) I'm sure they're all such a joy to have.

It sounds like a great weekend to me. Sewing, stiching and chatting with friends. I believe the weekends shold be longer than the weeks.

Adorable pets you have there! So nice that they provide amusement and company at the same time :)

I love a relaxed weekend that involves stitching and friends--sounds just right.

Oh gosh your fur babies are just the cutest !

And what is going on with all your activity especially the gardening? Are you sure you're feeling OK?

Totally agree with you about the Is it Friday yet thing. I cannot believe how fast that weekend went and back to the grindstone today.

Yep. We definitely need another Friday! Your Rosie is soooo sweet. (And photogenic) As for the Terrible Twins, what's cuter than 1 fur baby? 2, obviously! Your photos make your weekend look idyllic. Roll on next Friday!

Sunday night rolls around too fast doesn't it. Definitely plant ground covers, once they get going you will have less weeding (more time for stitching then). You're lucky in that Rosie and the two kittens stay still for their photo to be taken.
