Red club and white cats......

Well......I'm back....(in more ways than one)....starting to feel like my old self again.....! .....and that has to be a good thing!

I am also back with another blog post just 24 hours after the last one...which hasn't happened for a while......
Red Club today.....this is a (very poor) pic of the finished quilt......I didn't get this far...this was the sample quilt.......

........here is mine (we get the kits as part of the class - so it is just a coincidence that a couple of the fabrics are the same as I used last week!) I have made the half square triangles for the outside so shouldn't take long to put it together.....maybe the garage won't get cleaned out tomorrow!

I always enjoy going to the Patchwork Apple.....Sara is our tutor for Red Club (and the CW class) - she is a talented quilter....and has given us some great tips for making piecing easier and more accurate......and you gotta love that! Sara also has a range of patterns (Sarandipity) and today I added Lamingtons and Jelly Cakes to my collection (along with a Lily and Will layer cake to make it!) ..... Garage? What garage?

The drive to the Patchwork Apple is always enjoyable.........here are a few pics I took on the way home today.......

And if you are still with me.....here are a couple of pics of the fur kids.......

Albert............who is quite a big boy now.....

......and the more delicate one ...............beautiful Beatrice.......(can you guess where Rose was sitting??)

That's it from me tonight....time for the penultimate stage of the Tour de France........and I can stay up because it's not a work night!

'Til next time..................................Lorraine

so how does this red club work? You buy a kit...and all do show and tell after each step? Kind of like my civil war quilt group...

How big will that quilt be when finished?

Thank you for sharing your day with us! I'm glad you're starting to feel like yourself again.

Those fur babies are growing like dandelions and so sweet.

Love your pictures (don't we live in a great land?), especially the vineyard one and that lovely old dead tree (I have a tree fetish). Yes, those kitties are so cute and as always, the garage will always be waiting for you to get to it. You do beautiful quilting work so enjoy it!

Cheers - Joolz

What beautiful vistas as you drive to the Patchwork Apple! Will you be imbibing in any of the local wine produced in that vineyard?
