The blind man came to visit today!

Wow...what happened to that week........doesn't pay to blink...! Hard to believe I have been here in my new house for 12 weeks....! The house had venetian blinds in the front rooms when I moved in, but there were no other window treatments......the kitchen has a large bay window and there is a big glass sliding door in the family/dining room....which (apart from having no privacy) made the rooms really hard to heat. That was all remedied today with the installation of blinds ...........I am really happy with them....this is before.......

........and after........

the "after" pic was taken when I got home from work tonight so it was dark outside...they look a lot different during the day.......but I couldn't wait to post the before/after pics......

Look at the little one sitting nicely outside the door this morning!

Here is the after of the sliding glass door.........I chose panel glide blinds here........

....I went for the plain/simple look (which is not always the cheapest unfortunately!).....but....I am really happy with the result! I don't think the fur kids care though......!

Off to the Patchwork Apple for Red Club tomorrow......with a stop off at work first.....then home for the rest of the weekend....my aim for Sunday is to get the garage organised to I can make room for the car.....watch this space!

I sat up and watched the Tour de France last night....and almost finished the stitchery on another Gardener's Journal block.......I did feel this mornng that 1.30am was way too late to be up on a work night though!

'Til next time.....................Lorraine

The blinds look fabbo. Very neat, clean lines which I love.

I once pulled up behind a van at a set of lights and there was a sign on the back that said "Caution. This van is driven by a blind man!"
Turns out it was a Burns for Blinds van. Very funny!

Cheers - Joolz
