Catching up.......

Earlier in the year I joined the Gardener's Journal Stitch-A-Long - got off to a flyer...then fell in a hole (so to speak) and there wasn't much progress for a while.....stitched all the blocks and traced the stitcheries a couple of months ago when I had a few days off work but since then ......nothing......so over the past couple of weeks I have been working on the stitcheries at night....and have caught up......I am stitching the block assigned to August......and it is still August!!  Just have to keep up the momentum now!

Speaking of momentum.......the puppies have finally lost theirs for a while!!  I have been "puppy sitting" Lexi overnight and she and Rose have played hard!  But even puppies run out of steam eventually and they are now asleep....snoring in fact........and I am letting sleeping puppies lie!!! Phew......I am exhausted!

It is cold.....wet and windy today.......here are the girls after being outside for a toilet break this morning.........

It was the first chance I had for a photo op........last night they were moving too fast and didn't sit still  long enough for me to get the lens cap off the camera!  Different story this morning though!! Much more subdued. ......Wednesday night was their first puppy school experience......they were a little overwhelmed by the sights and sounds there.....but were quite well behaved.  It is nice they can spend some time together having sleep-overs and going to puppy school.

I am off for a stitching day with the girls today..........I hope Cheryl has the fire going.

'Til next time........................Lorraine

Your Gardener's Journal project is fabulous, Loz. I love, love, love it. I especially love that you're doing it in one color (RED). :-) I finally got the book - soon I'll have to get started. :-)

Oh, those silly puppies are so darn cute.

Stitching the August block means you are doing good. I actually got my September stitchery block done early this month. They are from Buttermilk Basin designs.

The GJ blocks look great. Brilliant idea to stitch them all together first! Rose and Lexi look a little soggy in that photo. We have had quite a bit of rain here. Brad and I went out to the shops and managed to look a little soggy too!

Your finished stitcheries are darling. I like to think block of the month projects are just suggested time frames.

Puppies are looking sweet!

By jove I think you've found your single gal mojo Loz!

YIKES.....The girls are way too cute with their "sleep overs" I hope they're not wearing their slippers out in the rain! Good to see your getting your groove back.

Cute stitcheries and fabric! I recently bought a redwork pattern and some perle cotton but haven't even gotten as far as picking a backing.

Awww, puppies are irresistable.
