A finish........

I have had a couple of baby quilts for work colleagues on the go for a while now..........if I don't hurry up and finish them the babies will be going to school!  I was going to quilt this one for Margaux on the Bernina but I have been suffering with a bout of shouler/back pain for a week or so, so  that was never going to happen.  So on the frame (aka doover) it went..........hopefully it won't be that long between quilts again!  I had almost forgotten what fun it is!

I stitched the binding on last night.........

The finished quilt .........(I was aiming for 'random' then realised when it was all together that I had the plain orange blocks perfectly aligned!) Probably wouldn't have worked out as well if I was trying!

the back...................

.....a close up of the nowhere-near-perfect quilting.....but.....I am sure Miss Margaux will enjoy it anyway...............

Saturday saw me at the Patchwork Apple for the Civil War class....I was aiming to finish my 'homework' block yesterday but that didn't happen........maybe this weekend!  Miss Rose has been sleeping all evening and has now decided it is time to play.........and is having a fine time with one of her toys.  I have news for her......it's late......and it's bedtime!

'Til next time...................Lorraine

I love those fabrics! Glad you took the time to play on your longarm and get a faster finish. Take care of your arm and shoulder!

Well done Loz! Looks gorgeous! Looks like the same range that Bec used for the quilt (which I still haven't posted about!) for my newest little treasure!

It's a very pretty finish, Loz! I wouldn't have noticed the oranges in a row if you hadn't pointed them out. Maybe you can make that the "find-it game" for Margaux.

Very nice finish!

At first I thought you had sewed a lot of ric-rac on the quilt then I realised it was the fabric print :)
great job. Puppies (and kittens)don't seem to operate on the same hours as us humans, hence the playing late at night
