I'm done.................

...Oh....and I am also ready for Christmas..!  Did the final bit of shopping last night - there were relatively few people in the shops so it was plain sailing....then home to do the last of the baking.......
.
.......which at around 2am looked like this.......

I have nevermade fruit mince pies before but decided that this year was the perfect time........the biscuits also have fruit mince in them.........

There has also been a bit of activity in the sewing room........................

These were a Moda Bake Shop pattern from Kimberly - they were so simple to make...and the pattern was easy to follow - everything went together really well......Thanks Kimberly! When I decide to sew I spend ages trying to choose fabric....so early in the week when I was too tired to sew or bake I dumped a load of fabric onto the kitchen bench with the mat and cutter and picked out fabrics and cut out pieces so when I did have time/energy to sew I had several little bags all ready to stitch.........work has been busy.......and today will be no different...when I get there that is!!  Best I be getting off this computer...and in the car......!!  We break up at lunch time today for a week's break......can't wait!!!

Just before I go.........one of the things on my "bucket list" is to experience a white Christmas.....Rose...bless her little cotton socks.....must have known this......

..........and decided to help out......the remains of the cushion from one of the outside chairs was strewn across both bits of lawn out the back......thanks Rose!! ........but I don't think that counts......the thought was obviously there though???

I hope everyone has a stress free, safe and happy Christmas.....and that 2011 is a cracker of a  year!

'Til next time........................Lorraine

Love the title of this post cause it expresses exactly how I feel. I'm done to! Did the fruit and veg this morning (as you were writing this actually), the emergency dash to the fabric store for a daughter (well the shops are going to be closed for four days you know), the last minute present shopping (but I'm sure I had something for that kid. How could I have forgotten THAT kid?), made the pavlova, and now the four chickens are cooking in the webers outside for the Christmas Eve thingy at Mum's house. We have to leave in an hour and I am so done I just want to stay home. Maybe I could cancel and say I have a tummy bug? Nah, I couldn't pull that off 2 years in a row. Better go I guess.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend with your best people Loz! Merry Christmas!

Hoping you have a wonderful Christmas. I do love those little bags but I am not fond of fruit mince. How could you be mad at that face she was only having fun.

Merry Christmas Lorraine. I hope you have a wonderful day.
I love the bags that you made. It's been so long since I have sewn anything - I am hoping to get into next week - when things slow down here a bit.
enjoy your festive season.

Thank you, Loz, for sharing pictures of your pretty bags. I've bookmarked the link. And I sure enjoyed your Down Under version of a white Christmas! What a hoot - for us, but perhaps not for you.

It's been wonderful getting to know you this year. Have a blessed Christmas and a prosperous 2011.

I think I would rather Rosie's version of a white Christmas, the real thing is way too cold for me. 2011 is going to be great for us all I am sure of that. The bags are just gorgeous and the fabric choices just perfect. Take care of yourself you need to save your energy for the 26th.
