Lexi and Rose = chaos........

Lexi has been visiting since Tuesday - Mark and Terri are away so it's off to Granny's house to play with her cousin Rose........and they have been playing pretty much non stop for the whole time she has been here!  Wednesday we had heavy rain during the afternoon and I came home to two very wet, very muddy dogs waiting eagerly to come inside.  Given that they have access to the laundry (which last time I was in there during a rain storm doesn't leak) there was no reason that they should have been out in the rain......but .........I guess they are still puppies! It was quite the job to get them dry and  I covered the lounges with old rugs and let them inside...then tackled the laundry - the floor was thick with mud/sticks/garden debris (that would be parts of plants that have completely disappeared from the garden!) that they had brought in with them and their beds were looking the worse for wear....I cleaned it up a bit....but won't bother to wash the floors until Lexi has gone home today - we are having almost tropical weather with sunny mornings and afternoon storms.  The weekend promises some hot weather which will make for steamy conditions - yuk!

Photo ops have been rare - they rarely sit still long enough when they are together..........but I managed to get this one last night when they were waiting at the door.....

The other morning I got the juicer out of the cupboard...and dusted it off.....(believe me it needed it - it hasn't been used in a while!)..........

I found some celery in the bottom of the fridge to add to the apples and carrots.......and have made a note to buy some ginger when I shop next........Yum......breakfast!

Not much else happening here...no stitching this week although that will change tonight as I have to finish a gift I am making for one of the girls in my stitching group.  It's our Christmas gtg tomorrow. (no pressure!)  I also need to do some Civil War homework before the next class......work has been busy so I haven't felt much like stitching in the evenings but hopefully things will settle down a bit and I can get my mojo back.  Looking forward to a week off over Christmas.....then getting the Australia Day event done at the end of January and I have three weeks leave booked for February.......yay...!!!

But of course it is December now.....my eldest son's birthday yesterday (34!! yikes where have the years gone?) and mine in a couple of weeks......the Festival of Loz....LOL

'Til next time..............................Lorraine

What a great story! That photo of them by the door is gorgeous. Reminds me of when our 2 granddogs come around on Monday nights. They both sit at the back door together like yours when they know we are putting their tea into their bowls!

Hey Lorraine! What is it about dogs that when we leave them with a 'doggy-sitter' when we're away, they have an absolute blast playing and exploring new territory ... but STILL manage to make us feel guilty about leaving them when they give us sad-eyed stares! :0) Looks like your two furry bundles of mischief have had fun. Love your new header photo ... what a sweetie! :0) Bear Hugs! KRIS

PS. Hope you're not in any of the flood affected areas of SA and keeping dry! BH! KRIS
