More festival fun.............

.....yesterday I received a parcel in the post........I was expecting a book I had ordered from Queensland so wasn't surprised to see that the sender's address was  Queensland...given it is a "self help" book recommended by my counsellor and I was tired after a long day at work I wasn't in too much of a hurry to open it.......so put it on the bench in the kitchen and went about getting changed, greeting and playing with Rose and generally faffing about........coming back into the kitchen I remembered the parcel and started to open it....I though they had gone to a bit of trouble wrapping the "book"....it was lovely paper......then the envelope on the parcel caught my eye...."Surprise!! Happy Birthday".what the.........??....inside the package was a card.... and these two fabulous coat hangers (I love "special" coat hangers!!!).......

Maree had certainly surprised me...!  And her accomplice was Kris who supplied my mailing address........Thanks Maree.....such a lovely surprise!

Today was the last of the Civil War classes at the Patchwork Apple.....Kris was there and surprised me with this super cute little bag, a charm pack and Lynette Anderson's book - Quilting Cats and Dogs.......

....but there was more........the bag was full of choccies!

Kris has been suffering from headaches lately and often laments she is not achieving many finishes with her stitching......well...I can vouch for the fact that she has finished something!  ......Thanks Kris....I love everything......the book is fabulous with loads of achievable projects.......something for the new year when I am on holidays?...and the choccies.....yum!

Since it was the last Civil War class we celebrated with non-alcoholic sparkling apple juice (this was good for two of the girls who had had a big night out last night!) -  thanks Jane and Sara for a great class....loads of fun......and I would like to post a pic of my finished quilt top.......but I can't because I haven't finished it yet!  Soon though!

Thanks Jean, Yvonne, Kris (and the absent Deb) for loads of fun and support over the past few months.  Looking forward to catching up in the new year.

I think that is about it for the "Festival"........now for Christmas!

'til next time.....................Lorraine

It's apparent from your last two blog posts that you're having WAY too much fun over there! See me turning green!? But I wish you a happy belated birthday. You've done a fabulous job of making it last as long as possible. You obviously have some wonderful friends, and good for you. You deserve it.

Sounds like the Festival of Loz has been a resounding success again for 2010.

I love that you make a big deal out of your birthday.

I hope this next year is the most wonderful one you could wish for and that all you hope for comes your way.
