Not to get too Philosophical ........

about the New Year and what it may bring......but .......

It's funny that we don't reflect/review each night at the stroke of midnight the past day.....or indeed the past week or month....but on December 31 we stop and reflect on the year that was....which is sometimes a lot to take in........there are the highs and the lows.....good times and crap times.......the things we saw coming and those that took us completely by surprise and knocked our socks off (in either a good or bad way!)....there were things this past year that I didn't see coming......and I am sure there will be things in the next year that take me by surprise as well.  What is done is done and I look to the future with hope and confidence (well that's what I keep telling myself anyway)!  I won't be making any big resolutions for the year......and will be applauding any achievements big or small.  2010 hasn't been all bad....there have been a lot of fun times as well - it would be a shame to let one thing (albeit a life changing one) define the entire year..........and to my blog buddies and friends new and old I say thanks for being here.....and a happy new year to you all........

My word for 2010 was "achieve"......(maybe I should have gone with "shit happens"  LOLOLOL) but I think I did manage to achieve quite a bit over this past year.........not sure on the word for 2011 yet......I was thinking "change" but I achieved a lot of that in 2010 as well...so might go with a simple one - "live".........I will be aiming to live and enjoy.  I have many things to be thankful for.

Happy 2011!

'Til next time year...................Lorraine

GRANNY LOZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maybe you can have a different spin on the word achieve and say what you've achieved this year too... you have achieved alot. So what's your word for 2011?

Great to catch up yesterday. I have been thinking about 2011 and what my word will be and I can't settle on anything same as last year. I know I want to live a creative life in 2011 so maybe I will have a motto not a word lol. Here's to 2011 and whatever it might bring.

Happy New Year Lorraine. "Live" is a good choice. I don't reflect on the year gone. To me it's in the past & best left there.:) Hugs,

Hi--I think my word is going to be "focus"--I am sometimes doing a hundred things and not enjoying any of them--so I want to "focus" on one thing at a time--Unless that miss gracie is around then it is two things!!!!
Hugs, di and that miss gracie
Happy happy new year to you and to miss rosie

Happy New Year, yes, the not so good times make us grow, like it or not, but none of us want to repeat them.
I hope 2011 is a great one! I'm not making resolutions this year only a few new goals, all quilt related
