..........to finish with the holiday lifestyle and go back to work......how fast did the past few weeks go!?! It's been great...I have had time to think about a lot of things....decisions made in the past year......coming to terms with those decisions and looking ahead - although not too far ahead as plans made can just as easily be un-made - so think I will go with the flow for now and just "be"........there were a lot of "what ifs" that I needed to think about and the thing that I realised was that you can't "un-know" something....once I knew what was happening I had to deal with it.....and I am ok with the way I dealt with it.....so chapter closed. Didn't realise these things take so much time to work through.......I had my final appointment with the counsellor today.....thank goodness....I think she is on the right track now! :)
Anyhoo.............I am looking forward to getting back into the work routine and catching up with people I have missed over the past few weeks........and am easing myself back into it with a four day week.
The weekend at Port Pirie was great - I got something almost finished...LOL......Here is Melly's sampler.....
And here is my "almost" finished piece.....no borders or name yet...........and the pic isn't the best.....too dark today for decent photos.......
I was also lucky enough to win a couple of give aways on the first day.........
Some of Melly's projects ......
A couple of versions of the cutest little clutch which was Melly's project for day two......love it!
........this stitchery was Rosalie's project for day two......
Watch for a Christmas project book/let from Rosalie later this year!
Nay with her stitchery for Melly's project..it's probably finished by now!
Robyn's shop is full of lovely stuff.....here are a couple of pics of her Easter display......
Just LOVE this little guy......
So that's about it from the Port Pirie weekend...thanks Robyn for hosting Melly and Rosalie and giving us the opportunity to spend two days with them. Fun!
I managed to spend a little time in the sewing room today between appointments with the doctor and counsellor.....and lunch with a friend. The first border is on the CW Legacy quilt and I have chosen the final border and made the star that goes in that border......so hopefully I will have it finished by the time I catch up with Yvonne and Deb next weekend.
Did I say I was going back to work tomorrow...??? LOLOL......best be getting to bed earlier than I have been over the past few weeks.
Gratitudes:
normal blood pressure
fun times with friends
stitching retreats
'Til next time.......Lorraine

Thanks for the photo!!! and no its not quite finished but will be before I go to bed - have been on the Studi Mio website to check out the D clip and clip that Melly used on her sample.
Took my unfinished projects to work today to share with a fellow quilter and she has challenged me to finish them all by Easter - so have accepted the challenge - most unusual for me to finish something. Did the unfortunate incident with the iron disappear?
How much fun did you guys have! I adore your stitchery. I think I need some tips from you about keeping my stitches even and looking good!
Cant believe you're going back to work already. Where did that month go? Hope you're in bed sleeping and getting ready for your big day tomorrow.

Sounds like your vacation was therapeutic, in more ways than once. I'm glad you could come to terms within yourself. Sorry you have to go back to work though!
Your kid stitchery is adorable. I've never seen those little Ninja stuffed dolls (if that's what they are), and that clutch is absolutely adorable. It's so nice to see the embroidery being done in Aus. It's practically non-existent here in the US.
Hey Lorraine! Glad your break was a time of rest and reflection for you to recharge your batteries and head off on the next adventure life has in store for you ... look forward to sharing your journey here in blogland! :0) And your Melly and Me projects is so darn CUTE! Well done for finishing it. Enjoy being back with your workmates! Bear Hugs! KRIS
I agree that little chicken is just so cute- sounds like you've had a great time over your break- sometimes it's a shame that work has to interfere with stitching time!! LOL. Have a good day

Nothing like a Craft Camp!
You've been busty.
I mean busy. (I haven't had my first cup of coffee yet and when I saw the typo I thought I'd leave it. I really DID mean 'busy'.)
I'm glad to hear that you are feeling more at peace now. You deserve all things good.
Your stitchery is awesome. And so are you. Hope to see you around soon. xx
Such lovely projects, such creativity from the needle and thread. You're refreshed and revitalized and ready to go back to work.
Relish all the good times ahead, Granny Loz--we're cheering you on from our little stitching spots here and there all around the world. Dontcha just love technology?
Port Pirie? I grew up there. From 1957 to 1968. My sister still lives there.
