I blame "the" wedding........

...for my absence.....  as in order to avoid watching said wedding on every available free to air channel (ok I confess I did watch to see what "the" dress was like......and tuned out about the time the sisters Eugenie and Beatrice arrived at the Abbey.......not sure who told them those outfits were a good idea - that was enough for me) .......I borrowed Terri's Twilight DVDs......after watching the three movies I had to get the books....working in the same building as the library comes in handy - so this past week has seen me with my head buried in a book every spare minute....finished the last one this morning!  They were an easy read and who doesn't love a good love story with a "happy ever after" ending...... *sigh*  ....a bit of escapism doesn't hurt now and then.......

Not much else going on.....no stitching to speak of...I'm a few weeks behind with my CW blocks so will be trying to catch up with those this weekend......my PC is currently undergoing a grease, oil change and a tune up so I haven't had that distraction in the evenings either...I could have used the lap top of course (as I am now).....but that would have meant putting my book down to go get it!

Will hopefully be back on the weekend with at least a photo or two..........!

'Til next time........................Lorraine

We all need a bit of time out and escapism at times- and there is nothing better than a good movie or book. Talking of those outfits a friend showed me an email that is circulating which has photos doctored up to show the various uses that pink bow hat could be put to- it was quite a laugh! -even had one showing tapeworms in a similar shape (for the science buffs!) Have a good week.

A post with no photos..... You could have slipped one of the happy couple. Gemma read all the Twilight books and i have watched the movies with her.

I have been doing some reading lately too. I picked up some of my favourite books from the Salvos here and that got me started. Since then I have been visiting the library. I have really enjoyed it! I managed to avoid THAT wedding. Can't remember what I was doing, but I was busy! I love to read in bed. Right up until the book starts falling on my face. Hey! Then you know to turn out the light.

It's so good to find a book (or books in this case) you just cant put down. Ive been heading off to bed early and reading myself to sleep too(usually within 10 minutes - so tired!)

Those outfits were truly awful (you know which ones Im talking about )

Loved the wedding--classy all the way. The hats were a hoot!

Haven't done the Twilight series but expect to dive into the last Clan of the Cave Bear book when it arrives courtesy of a late Mother's Day gift.

I thought the wedding was so romantic. Just like a fairy tale. It was beautiful. I'd be watching it all the time if I were you.
Hugs!!

I have been on a reading bent lately too, I am terrible, have avoided getting the latest book in the series so that I get some work done.

I recorded the wedding and then fast forwarded until I got to the dress :)
I've been wondering about the Twilight trilogy, I've seen the first movie and thought I might try the books sometime.

Nothing like curling up with a good book or DVD. A few of my friends were like you and couldn't put the Twilight books down once they started!

The Twilight series is fantastic and I have loved all the movies and have seen them all on the big screen. I can't wait for the next installment. I also love Harry Potter as my kids sort of grew up with the movies as they came along. I have not read any of the book though. This hasn't stopped me from loving the films.

Cheers - Joolz
