Ash cloud begone!

I flew to Melbourne on Sunday for a conference......and despite thinking I would be back home last night -  I am not!   The ash cloud has disrupted my plans (along with thousands of others of course) so instead of the usual view out my bedroom window I have this.......

The  MCG....!  For those not familiar with this Melbourne icon you can check it out here.  The conference was  actually held here and it was pretty impressive looking out from the conference room on to the "hallowed" ground!

Our flight will hopefully be leaving late this afternoon so that leaves some time for a little R&R in the city. Will be back with more later in the week.

'til next time....................Lorraine

After just sending you an email to find out if you were stuck in Melbourne, I open my blog and there you are! Hope Miss Rose is being well looked after.

You could be stuck in worse places. I wont name any of them lest I offend someone.

Shopping anyone?

Have a safe trip home!

Ash...yuck. Yesterday we had smoke from the wildfires. It was awful. Enjoy yourself! :-)

Oh, poor you, Lorraine (not!) Hope you finally got to go home - and I hope that pesky cloud isn't still hanging around when I fly to NZ next Friday (hopefully)

I can always count on my blogging to keep my aging brain informed of new and wonderful things. I'm sorry to admit that I knew nothing about the MCG, but I did check out your link. I'm now better informed. Sounds like a wonderful place, with all the sporting events and concerts and even the Olympics to its credit.
Safe journey home.
