Moving right along........

Thanks to everyone for their comments and emails on the previous post.....such a brilliant support network!

So, May is just a memory now...........

 .......come on in June.....

This week I have been working on my TTS blocks.....I could hear faint sounds of whip cracking getting closer.....just as well Chooky has been busy or I think I may have felt the whip as well!!  ....so these....

have been transformed into these .......edited to add........just noticed the upside down block....LOLOL.....

I don't think I have showed you a pic of my completed / quilted / bound Gardener's Journal quilt......so .....ta da.....here it is....

.......oh  .......can you hear the mutterings of the quilt holder???? .....if there was a football up for grabs he would be happy to run  miles competing with others for it.....but to hold up a quilt for a couple of minutes while I took a photo...????.....way too exhausting......LOLOL....still I guess when you are nursing injuries from chasing said footy around the previous day it is all a bit much......but we got there!!

I kicked myself out of bed this morning to go for a walk with the lovely Rose.......and had to break out the beanie (OMG!!) - which would never usually see the light of day...and indeed it didn't today....I walked before sunrise for that very reason.....I teamed the beanie with a jacket and daggy trackies...but the red leather gloves added a bit of class to an otherwise completely classless outfit....LOL.....it was 0.5C when I stepped outside the door......so the beanie WAS justified!  Nothing like a brisk walk in the morning to get the blood pumping and warm you up.  Great time of the day..... and a fitting welcome to Winter!

If I am going to be up early again tomorrow it's time I was getting some sleep.  I have been burning the midnight oil over the past few nights working on the TTS blocks.  Chooky with her whip is a daunting thought!

'Til next time............................Lorraine

I just think your Noel blocks are gorgeous!! And what a beautiful stitchery quilt...wonderful! Sometimes those who crack the whip over us are just fantastic motivators, LOL!

My, my. Your little fingers have been nimbly stitching away! These are very pretty blocks, and the quilt is lovely. Do you have a special place to hang it, or use it?

I have the same quilt calendar!

It's refreshing to hear that someone else is experiencing winter as we are finally heading into gorgeous days here in the Midwest. Warm days with temperate nights; it's as perfect as it can get. I'm appreciating it now before the hot-hot, humidity and mosquitos come along.

Need to see a picture of your darling walking ensemble. (ggg) Sounds runway ready!

Your TTS blocks look amazing Loz and if your GJ quilt disappears you know it's come to live at my house. I love it.

The weather report last night informed me that it was the coldest June morning in 68 years so a beanie was absolutely justified. If it gets any colder you may have to wear two!

can't believe we are nearly halfway through the year. Coco is at the stage where she needs a daily walk so I guess that will be me soon. Today I think I will walk her to school this afternoon. Great finishes and almost finishes. The afternoon yesterday was lovely, sat outside and read the junk mail for a bit and got some rays.

It was chilly again this morning, although it promises to be a glorious day! Hope you broke the beanie out again today.

Your quilt and stitching are lovely.

I love that one of your commenters had no idea what daggy trackies are. So not Aussie I guess. We are always in our daggy trackies!!!

Just catching up here, glad the story had a good ending. I am sure Rosie is a great substitute prince and she will not do the dirty on you. Good to see your stitching progress. It has been freezing in the mornings and very wintery in the evenings thankfully the middle of the day is sunny.
