Crikey......it's Cadel!!

If I thought watching the Tour de France over the past few weeks has been exhausting I can't even imagine what the guys actually riding in it have been feeling!  ........Have just watched the penultimate stage which has left Cadel Evans as the winner-elect of the event....first Aussie to achieve it!!

Congrats Cadel!!

I have stayed up way too late for way too many nights! ...but it's been worth it.

'Til next time..............................Lorraine

So will your normal sleep pattern resume now?

I havent been watching the Tour but I'm feeling like a proud Aussie all the same. Go Cadel!

I watched some of it but also feel very proud of him. Saw an interview with someone who said that it would make cycling a more prominent sport in Australia. My SIL gets up at 4am and cycles with a buddy - as a social thing! Yikes! Well done Cadel.

I was so excited to wake up and read the news this morning. I didn't watch any this year (I have the previous three or four! Perhaps my non-attendance is responsible for his win? Yeah, right! I'll take credit for anything!) but have been following the news reports. Well done Cadel! (I thought of you on the couch shouting when I read the news. So glad you civilly "shouted" on the net instead!)

He has done so well this year- I thought that being nearly a minute behind before the time trial might be too far but what a strong ride he had- after two 2nd places he can now take out first. He spoke so well about his coach ...

Last night tonight and then I'm back to a normal sleep pattern, it's been quite exhausting hasn't it?

When I heard the news this morning I instantly thought of you. Such a great effort. I have only saw wee bits of it, but doesn't the scenery make you want to board a plane and fly straight to France.

It is a fantastic win for Cadel and wasn't it nice to hear our National Anthem sung!

They really are amazing. I want to know how they ride and eat and not inhale food. I would be dead in the first instance. I would be breathing so hard, that food would be on my lungs in an instance. Well done Cadel.
