Comedy Relief by......

Moi  ......well that's if you call falling out of the passenger seat of the car funny!  Got my foot caught in the strap of my handbag as I was getting out of the car tonight ......made a very undignified landing on the concrete.....no injuries...apart from my pride! (Severely dented!!)  All I could think of as I was falling was how funny it must have looked from Gail's angle....the peals of laughter coming from the driver's seat proved how right I was! .....and it continued to amuse both of bus for quite some time! ........

Relaxing now after a fabulous day spent in Simpson....stitching....and yes....it is Spring but the weather was decidedly chilly....although 70 women in one room made for a lovely warm atmosphere!

Linda did a fantastic job of organising the day and Gail and Lenora designed several fabulous projects for us to work on........

Here are a few random pics from the day .........

Name tags........two Lorraine's ....who knew??...... two of us!!!

Bags of patterns/fabric and chocolate..........perfect combination........

Miss Vickie......................we used to hang out at the Patchwork Apple......now I have to come to Victoria to play!

The "A" table..............

Hard at play.......

Lenora, Linda and Gail............

I worked on one of Lenora's patterns.....a heat bag cover....finished the stitching - just need to do the applique on the hive and flowers......

The hours passed too quickly and the day was filled with good fun, good company and of course good food.....although I stayed away from the really good stuff.....cheesecake, pavlova and sticky date pudding.......

Although the stitching day in Simpson is over the fun continues tomorrow as Gail and I drop in to Linda's shop (just in case we missed something today) on our way to Castlemaine. We are on a mission.............destination .....Threadbear!

'Til next time....................Lorraine (aka bumblefoot!)

Adults are not supposed to fall down--which is what always makes it so funny! Glad nothing got hurt but your pride :)

What a beautiful presentation and a fun day you all had. Jealous here!!!

You have a way of making this fall sound hilarious. Im glad nothing but your pride was hurt. I recently face planted in the middle of North Adelaide in the middle of a rain storm. I was not one iota of graceful as I hit the footpath.

Your day looks wonderful and your plans for Sunday make me a wee bit jealous. I'm going to be grocery shopping and house cleaning while you're gadding about. Have fun!

That could have been nasty. Some one said the other day before you are 50 you fall over after you are 50 you have a fall LOL. Looks like you had a wonderful day and another one to come it has been chilly here also so you are not missing out. Say hi to Gail.

Such delightful little gift/place bags! nice to read about an entire room of women all happily on the same wavelength. I like the look of stitchery and quilting, as I've mentioned before, but I'm hopeless at doing it myself. My mum was quite crafty, but the only thing I was ever crafty at was getting out of sewing lesons.

I was so pleased you were able to make the journey over to join us, it made the whole experience even more special.
