Some progress......

I woke up this morning......poked my nose out of the covers and realised it was a frosty morning......then spent the next 20 minutes talking myself out of going for a walk.....it didn't work and I could hear my little walking mate going in and out of her doggy door to go around to the sliding door to see if I was up yet......OK.....Ok......so I bit the bullet and headed out for a walk....glad I did...what a beautiful morning....fresh.......a great start to the day!

I got some stitching done on the weekend.......unpicked some of the applique block and restitched........ here is the finished article...........

.....and yes... I did mention in my last post that I had fallen off the "no buying" bandwagon......and have started Sue Daley's This Goes With That BOM......from Hetties.  Here are the first three hexies  ....the first of many I think......they go together easily and are a nice break from the needleturn of the other project......

Time I was going to work....... but thought I would post a couple of pics of my stitching progress.  Tis The Season is on the "agenda" for this weekend....just need to quilt it and I am done.....I can hear Chooky's whip cracking in the distance!

'Til next time...............Lorraine

It is a beautiful morning. Your hexies look cute it will be interesting to see how the quilts work out all being made from the same fabric, being put together differently. Did that make sence. Oh that Chookyblue is a hard task master.

Even after 2-1/2 years of blogging, I'm still not used to our Australian quilting friends getting ready for spring as we're heading into fall and winter.

I see that you've attached the 1/2 hexagons to the center one in two different ways. The lovely blue block has to have the wide part on the outside so the wavy line is created, but the other 2 blocks could be attached either way. Are your instructions specific about when to sew the long side to the center, and when to place it on the outside? Just wondering.

I know about that 'whip'--I only have the blocks stitched--I still need to do the fabric around some and then sew it all together and on and on--wonder if I will make by Sept 30th--now that is the big ????--
be good--hugs, Di and miss gracie
Need to check out that new hexie shape=you have done a wonderful job on yours!!

Ohh..... I love your hexies (she said with disappointment). You should have heard me humming and hahing on the phone as I tried to decide between repro or contemporary. Truth be told I wanted both. Bank balance consulted, I chose contemporary.

Love all your gettings done and so impressed with your stick-to-it-iveness as far as the walk goes. No wonder Rosie loves you!!!

Feeling a bit blah here and trying desperately to think of something thrilling to do to change that feeling. Started thinking at 4:30am, still thinking. Maybe I'll get the hexies out!
