Saturday a group of us visited the Patchwork Apple's quilt exhibtion in Woodside....which meant of course we "had" to have lunch at the bakery there.....tough I know!
The exhibition featured quilts made in class at the Patchwork Apple and by Jane and Sara and were predominately in repro fabrics........this is the centre medallion of one of my favourites.......
Jane also included some of her antique quilts .......love the colours and fabrics......
A visit to the "shop" was a must......I haven't had a chance to visit the new Patchwork Apple since Jane relocated.....but I can see a Tuesday or Wednesday off in the near future!
After a cuppa we headed home........... Rhiannon arrived home before me.......she is on school holidays so came to spend a couple of days with me........Mark and Terri joined us and we went for a round of mini golf .............Mark led the way and had plenty of advice for us for the entire round..........
Rhi about to tee off.............
All concentration from Terri......
Mark won the day....with Terri and Rhi tied for second.....who knew getting the highest score meant I came in last.....LOL
I made lamb casserole and damper for dinner..........it makes a change to cook for more than one! Damper straight out the oven with butter......yum!!
Rose is loving having more people to play with......she isn't too sure about giving up her seat on the lounge though!! While I was in a newsagency in Victoria I saw this magazine cover ..........Does it get better than a Cocker.....????? I don't think so.....but I guess I am a bit biased.
So.....back to work tomorrow........as usual the weekend has disappeared in a flash!
'Til next time....................Lorraine.

Some beautiful antique quilts there, I would have been drooling over them. The weekends go too fast for me, I wish they were twice as long :)
You blink and the weekend is over! Great quilts. What is damper...the bread?
Sounds like a fun way to spend the day and the center of that one quilt is beautiful. Love to play mini golf and I'm also the one who usually comes in last. Ok what is damper - look yummy :)
Hugs - karen
Thanks for showing the quilts--love the colors in the medallion one! Looks like lots of fun with the young folks--can't remember myself how long it's been since I did mini golf!
Yummy food pics too. Hope you get some stitching in after you get back to work!
Looks like a fun weekend, whether stitching was on the menu or not!
I know damper is exclusive to Australia. I just finished an audiobook - "The Secret River" - about the settling of Sydney and Port Jackson by indentured "colonists" from England. They ate a lot of damper. Do you have a recipe to share for your "yum" version?
Despite the lack of crafting I still think you had your fill of inspiration at the quilt exhibition. Those antique quilts are so pretty.
What is it with weekends that move at the speed of light?
Hey I need to know where that mini golf is that looks way better than west beach. Of course you had to have lunch at the bakery, looks like a good show of quilts too.
Good weekends always go too fast. Bet the quilt display was inspiring.
the quilt exhibition looks inspiring, love the medallion quilt.... of course life is better with a Cocker Spaniel around.... gorgeous magazine cover.....
sounds like you had a fun weekend... they're the ones that go the fastest....
What a great weekend!

Beautiful old quilts. I know they are so soft and cozy!
Love love love that first quilt ....sounds as if you had a great weekend you would of had to go to work for a rest...2 weeks now till we go bush !!!
The center medallion is beautiful! Looks a lot like a project that I would enjoy doing.
