Tis the Season........

I joined in the Tis the Season Stich-A-Long and got the top finished some time ago.....I put it on the quilt stand to take a pic....and there is stayed......Until Chooky - aka Stitch-A-Long "boss"  (whip cracker) posted that we wouldn't be able to come play in the new Stitch-A-Long until the current one was finished............well....................that was it......I stitched my butt off over the weekend......truth be known I probably added to my butt as all I did was sit on it and stitch..........Anyhoo.......here it is....the finished quilt......!

So....can I play now Chooky??  Have a look at the Stitch-A-Long blog and see Chooky's sister's post......yes.....she has us all running scared.....!!  LOL

Back to "normal" for me today after a week off.  It's been a great break and I am looking forward to getting the mail today - hopefully my parcel of goodies will be arriving...I ended up posting most of my purchases from the week home.  While I was away I also posted a parcel to my sister who lives in the Northern Territory...it was her birthday on Friday and I posted the parcel so it would get to her on the day........so imagine my surprise when I got home and found it waiting for me .......yep.....not deterred at all by the big "TO" on one side and the "FROM" on the other it was delivered to my address......will be in the post again today!  Take two ......

'Til next time.................Lorraine

Tis the Season looks fabulous Loz. It was worth every minute of sitting on your butt.

I phone myself at work all the time - from my own desk ...duh. Dont feel bad about posting yourself a present!

Fabulous finish Loz! I've finished my TTS but not my GJ, Chook's on the warpath I think!!
I hope Oz Posts gets the parcel heading in the correct direction this time!

Your TTS quilt looks great Loz. I hope that Australia Post didn't make you pay to send your parcel again.

A great finish Loz, it will look lovely in your house at Christmas time. Think I need a whip cracker in my life.

That ChookyBlue is a hard task master. Still laughing ......... Good old Australia Post. Your Tis the season is lovely and perfect timing you will be able to hang it soon. Glad you had a lovely week.

It turned out so lovely! I just got the patterns to do it, but haven't started it....yet.

It looked good on the quilt rack, but looks fantastic now it's quilted! Quilting is magical. I love it. Especially the striped fabric, as someone else here mentioned. Off to work some more on mine. (I so want to join in the next SAL. Bought the book yesterday at Mrs Martins.)

Stunning Loz....

What a pretty finish, Loz! Well done. And that parcel return is a hoot. Seem the Australian postal service can be as inept as the US postal service. Ours continues to deliver mail to our house when we're on vacation, even after we've submitted a stop mail notice.

Your sashing fabric choices are pretty as can be on your Tis the Season. How nice to have it done so far in advance of the hang-it-up time of the year.
Those task mistresses can be scary, pushing us to work, work, work -- but they often just push us to do something we really wanted to do anyway. :)
Funny postal story. I'm sure your sister is understanding.

Your post brought a chuckle to my lips! I don't know how much you had to finish but you certainly got busy. I guess those threats do work.

I am interested in the stitchery in your header. I like it a lot.
