It's been a big week.......in order to be able to attend a residential conference in the city I worked back for a few nights to make sure everything was up to date before I left.........the conference is held annually and I missed last year so was keen to go this year. ....an added incentive was that my boss was a key note speaker.....and he had done his presentation without my help.....so I was looking forward to seeing what he had come up with.! It's a good chance to catch up with those doing the same job in the same industry.....I always come back with renewed enthusiasm for my job. This was the conference venue......
complete with distractions......
Had to walk on my own this morning since Rose was having her own "conference" with Lexie.........not sure what she would have thought of these guys....don't see anything like them on our usual morning walks!
Last night I caught up with Leanne for dinner ......
We haven't caught up for ages....so had plenty to talk about! There were certainly no gaps in conversation LOL
Left the conference at lunch time today and came back to the office for a few hours.......then picked Rose up.....she was pleased to see me ...but even more pleased to see my sister apparently.....Kate is staying with me for a few days (she shopped while I was at the conference!) .....so Rose made herself at home......
.............then decided to come sit with me while I checked a few blogs...
that was a hint for me to get rid of the laptop and give her some attemtion......sure is nice to be home.
now.....it's time I was getting into my SSCS project.......mailing date is fast approaching!....and I can hear the chief elf cracking that whip!

Was going to say that was a very familiar scene. The Lakes is quite often our go to place when I don't feel like cooking.
I would have a difficult time paying attention with the water views. Love the Rose!

Looks as if yo did it real hard at the conference !!! glad you had a nice time with Leanne...am ordering the Farmers wife books next week asked Shay if she wants to join in if she says yes thats 7 books !!!
The conference site looked so amazing and what great views. How fun to have a meet up with Leanne! Rose is such a sweetie.
