SSCS .....posted and received

I took some time off today to catch up on a few things.  I thought I could hear sleigh bells and also the sound of whip cracking.....surely there was no whip being used on the sleigh carrying the SSCS parcels.....would there be? ?  Today was the last day for posting parcels in the swap and today was the day I posted mine off to...???.
Haven't blogged for a while.....I have been working long hours and by the time I get home all I want to do is sleep.....so it's been a bit of a cycle of work/home/sleep......you know how it goes.  I have been finishing off my SSCS stitching as well.....and some of it was done in my lunch breaks ...... was really pleased with what I made and I hope the recipient is as well.  It was hard ....every time I went to her blog she was making something I had thought about making......so in the end I bit the bullet and chose something and didn't visit her for a while...LOL.....fingers crossed!!

I also paid a visit to the hairdresser today.....I know Christmas is coming and decorating with sparkly things is ok......but I don't need any "sparkly" bits in my hair...so today they were covered again.........and I always enjoy sitting and relaxing in the salon........off to the supermarket then......just as well it was a cool day.....met up with a couple of girls I haven't seen in ages and if the weather had been warmer I think the milk I bought would have been "off" by the time we finished chatting!

when I finally got home I found two parcels waiting for me....yay....love getting parcels!  One was the next packet of hexies from Hetties.......I must admit that I made loads of the first instalment.....quite a few of the second....and only one each of the third......other things have been taking up my stitching time...but hoping to get back to them again now.

The other parcel was my SSCS gift ..........from Terry

Always one to do as I am told......

two cute beaded decorations for my tree........

Thank you Terry......the other part of the gift has remained wrapped and now that I have some decorations and a gift I will need to put up the Christmas tree!  A job for tomorrow I think.

A big thank you to Chooky for organising the swap again this year.....and to Terry for her gift.........it's tempting....but I won't open it until Christmas morning.

Bed time for me........Rose is already snoring on the lounge!

'Til next time................Lorraine

I just booked in my pre-Chrostmas hair upgrade and a waxing. (I hear Santa doesn't bring presents to bearded ladies !)

Im glad extra whip cracking in your general direction was not needed and talk about bringing it down to the wire for the postage. Where did you get that ribbon? It's too cute!

Love those ornaments.I really must get the Christmas stuff out and let it sit for a week while all the spiders in the boxes find new homes!

I am going to have to start scheduling the getting rid of the sparkly bits in my hair more often now that there is more sparkles pop in up in the mirror. I did some hexie cutting last night and put together one of the new blocks tonight as well as quite a few of the plain big hexies to add to the collection. Can't say that I have made all that many hexagons but will start getting a bit more enthusiastic about it now though. The kids social activities are getting in the way of putting up the tree this weekend.

I'm so glad the package arrived safe and sound! Glad you like the ornaments too! I think I need to make more of those next year! :0)

I too prefer the sparkly features to be in my clothing...but I do my coloring myself...and save a ton of money...
