The Festival winds down...........

Phew...it's been a great week...........I think that's about it for the FOL this year........time to gear up for Christmas now!
Friday I had the morning off work.......I had breakfast with Wade and Rhiannon in Glenelg before heading over to Brighton Road to pick up my birthday present to myself........

How cute is she??  Once I got on the road to come home I just felt like keeping on driving.......perhaps I would have been at Lenora's by now if I had ....LOL......but work was waiting so I went there instead!  I came out of work at about 7pm to find a large screw protruding from the rear passenger tyre......that was a bit deflating! Two guys in the office were also working late and came out to change the tyre for me.....which was nice of them!  Tyre is repaired and replaced now............

Red was the colour for Friday.........a nice new key ring....a big (red) bag of goodies from the car dealership and some Australia Post love.....

Thanks Lenora and Lynda.....lovely surprises!!

Today was the Christmas gtg of our little stitching group....we have been meeting and stitching / bitching for just over ten years now!  Lovely catch up today girls....and some great gifts......as always......

Ian and Cheryl hosted the lunch which was more a feast really........ before the food hit the table.....

There was wine to go with the food........

Christmas choccies.......those Lindt reindeer look a lot like Lindt bunnies with long legs....LOL

My contribution to the lunch was something to have afterwards.........haven't made lamingtons in a while but they turned out ok!

I made a gift for Cheryl this year.........

........and Cheryl made a gift for me......a snuggly lavender heart pillow/jewellery roll and bag......Thanks Cheryl.......!!

Home again now......Mark, Terri, Rhiannon and Wade are here for dinner and we are about to start a game of Pictionary......not that any of us are competitive.....LOL.....should be fun!

Great to have some time with the kids.....with school holidays I may see a bit more of them over the next few weeks......I am looking forward to a week off over Christmas/New Year.

Mark thought he might help out and add some more brandy to the Christmas cake........

Thanks to everyone for their birthday wishes.... had a fantastic birthday and the FOL was awesome.  I think I am almost ready for Christmas......almost........

'Til next time...............................Lorraine

Presents are lovely ..its nice to be spoilt occasionally isnt it...Have a great xmas if I dont get on here again and hope to see you in the new year - seems like you have some wonderful adventures happening

Lovely Birthday Present! Does it float so you can come to the states?

Every birthday girl should have a special present to herself every couple years or so. You hit the jackpot! Looks like a great ride.

You obviously had a wonderful celebration with friends. I loved the comment about the Lindt reindeer looking like modified bunnies. I can see the outline of long legs on the foil packages, but are they really something other than bunnies inside?
Belated birthday wishes from a few km away.
