Thanks Mary Jo...........

For emailing me to let me know I had the second row of the Farmer's Daughter block around the wrong way!  That will teach me to put blocks together at 2am!

All fixed now........

Funny.....when I posted the pic last night I thought it didn't look quite right.......(that's probably because it wasn't LOL).  Thanks again Mary Jo - I really appreciate you letting me know.

On another note.......summer........it's been nice....but I think we are done.....although I don't think you feel the same way...and will be around for a while longer.

I am not sure about my relationship with hand piecing either.....the jury is still out on that one....perhaps it's just because it's been a long time since I did any.......will see how it goes.

'Til next time.................Lorraine

You could have fooled us about that block, Loz. I'm not doing FW, so it looked fine to me! As for hand piecing, don't give up on it. It's one of my favorite forms of handwork, right next to embroidery.

We've had some warm ones but at least the humidity has been down. I am lucky to have air con at work so it is bearable.

That block does look wonky in comparison now but otherwise, who would know!

Always nice to have good friends. I haven't hand pieced in years! Wow!

The block looks lovely Lorraine. I think hand piecing has gone off the boil for me because I think stitching so much.

Loz, I had to look at those pictures three times till I worked it out LOL. I could see it was different, but I could not work out why. It does look better second time round.

Mary Jo is a genius, cause I couldn't work it out! Yes, I'm so over summer and we haven't really had one here in Melbourne. Someone in Adelaide helpfully tweeted at 4am this morning that is was just under 28 degrees. Too hot for the day, let alone 4am. Hope this week gets cooler!

Your new block looks great! I think I'd like to make a whole quilt out of that pattern block someday. :0)

It is funny how we sometimes don't see our own errors. A friend of mine caught one for me on a piece I was already in the hand quilting process on.
