....I must admit I haven't done much stitching lately.......but I did finish the clamshells started at Nundle.....
Not sure what I will do with them yet........I love them......and will think about whether to make the hussif or .....something else...! You may remember that when I was on holiday I bought wool from the Bendigo Woollen Mill.....which of course made me a knitter LOL I also bought some fabulous knitting needles....because of course you can't be an awesome knitter without awesome needles......so yesterday when the girls were here for stitching I had a lesson in knitting from Linda.......and lo and behold.......I now have this......
Which is of course a six inch (give or take an inch) scarf!! I am waiting for the weather to become more Autumn-like so I can continue with the knitting....too warm at the moment as Summer has a last gasp! In the meantime I do have a few other projects I could be working on ...but I spent most of the day today playing domestic godess and doing household chores.....boring but necessary ......and it gives a sense of satisfaction to get it all done. You can see that Rose is pretty exhausted from helping.....
and is also tired of me taking her photo....*yawn*
Back to work tomorrow........the weekends always go way too fast....hopefully my stitching mojo will be back soon!
'Til next time......................Lorraine

Love, love, love your clamshells!
I've tried to knit. Result - total failure. LOL
OMG, Rosie is getting so big and she's absolutely beautiful.
Glad to hear the travellers arrived in London safely. Your clamshells are so pretty, like Cardy's in her post, they deserve to be on show. You are definately a qualified knitter now! Tracee xx
I've been learning to knit since January. I attend a knit/crochet group. The girls have been really helpful. You look like you've gotten off to a great start on a scarf!

Glad to hear Mark and Terri are living the high life and having fun.
Your clamshells look divine Loz. I had a look at a pattern for clam shells over the weekend and my idea promptly flew out the window . Too hard !
How is this weather of ours. Im stoked Summer has decided to make a brief re-appearance but sadly its not going to last much beyond Wednesday. That’s Ok I’ll take it till then.
Glad to hear the Kids have arrived safely and you've had a chat already...
Your Clamshells are looking so Pretty and way to go with the Knitting never too late to Learn...looks Good!
cheers
I was thinking that it took them a long time to reach London, but the stopover in Singapore would have accounted for that. Domestic duties, ugh, unfortunately I have some waiting for me at the moment.
Love your header, Lorraine, and the clamshells are so pretty. Enjoy your knitting; simple projects are so relaxing. I've knitted for years but would love to be able to crochet. One day...

How nice that you've heard from your kiddies and are satisfied that all is well. Love those clamshells. Are they joined to one another?
Clamshells look gorgeous!! Glad your babies arrived safe.
I do love to knit in the winter, so long as its something quick, your scarf looks snuggly :)
Love your clamshells!

The clamshells are so pretty. John and I visited Bendigo Woollen Mills in 1977 when we rode the motorbike to Adelaide. Think it's time we went again. I always stock up at the Sydney Quilt Show. I'm glad Mark and Terri have arrived safely ... What an exciting adventure.
Love those clamshells, gorgeous fabrics you have used, nice and bright n cheery....
Rosie is so sweet....
You're right - they are awesome knitting needles! When I was little I used to ask my Nana to teach me to knit. I was obsessed with making Barbie scarves - my knitting hasn't progressed past this point.
Love your clamshells you could make a tablerunner with them.
Well another weekend is here already, where does the time go!!! I am planning on working on my clamshells today,no really I am!!! before I forget how to do them. Love that the knitter in you has come out! Rose is so adorable!! Glad the kids are okay so far....
