Good times...

It was a busy weekend at Chez Loz.....Saturday saw me entertaining the Farmers Wife girls....note to self.....I need more chairs!!!  Always good to catch up with Claire, Val, Shay, Tara and Denise....Kris made a cameo appearance while she was over from Victoria visiting family......always a welcome addition to the group!  Lots of talking/eating etc ...you know how it goes!  ....and Shay bought fudge with her......hmmmmmmm....I may have had a few pieces....allegedly......

This is Val's FW book complete with fabrics choices for blocks and completed blocks.....

I am not quite that organised......and have only done a couple of blocks.......I worked on my wallhanging started in Port Pirie.....finished the tree/bird/pears stitchery and added the 3D leaves.....really happy with the way this is coming along......must get busy with the FW blocks though......soon......

Shay stitched the binding on this colourful beauty.....a gift for a friend.......

Tara bought along the blocks she has completed.....stitched into rows.....looking good.....

....and also her Mrs Billings top.....all up to date and waiting for the next block to arrive......as much as I am tempted I have resisted and won't be adding this quilt to my "to do" list.....I already have to live to be 200 in order to make a dent in that list!

Kris isn't doing the FW quilt but continued with her Pies and Tarts........pretty sure she was working on this when we went for a beach house holiday a couple of years ago....but you can't hurry these projects......

Had a fantastic time with the girls......so much to talk and laugh about......

Rhiannon and Wade arrived on Saturday evening and stayed the night - it was lovely to have them here for Mother's Day......they took me to lunch .......

.......and spoilt me with goodies.......who doesn't love flowers, choccies, perfume and bling!! .....thanks guys!!!

Loved having them stay with me and the house was very quiet again last night.....

Mark and Terri skyped me  (gotta love technology) on Saturday night to wish me a happy Mother's Day.......lovely sunny day in London and they were enjoying some time in the park...along with quite a number of other people!  Mark sent this pic to say Happy Mother's Day.........

Couldn't finish this post without a pic of the perfect ending to lunch yesterday......Lemon Meringue pie....my favourite dessert!

'Til next time.............Lorraine

You were right that picture of me doesn't look too bad .

Isn't Tara's quilt gorgeous? I wont be doing one either though.

So for Mother's Day you got an impromptu trip to England , saw some sights, got spoilt with gifts and finished up with pie? Sounds perfect to me!

Happy times, lucky you seeing Tazzie's FW - it looks really lovely with the striped sashing, and the Billings, I'm the same - just going to look and admire. Seeing your lovely stitchery almost makes me want to start one of my own, but I will resist.

What a fantastic weekend! Everything looks so shiny! (I think that is a Paton term, but I think you'll get it!) And I was a part of it. Nice!
