By George....she's got it!!

Last week I showed Joyce's busy hands making folded kimonos...well....attempting to remember how to make them.....

We had an impromptu get together for breakfast at Cheryl's house this morning....and Joyce bought along some completed kimonos that she had worked on during the week.......so for Sue who left a comment asking to see the finished article......here they are......

And here is Joyce showing one off....or just showing off LOL

The pattern is from Patchwork Quilt Studio Mariko and Joyce went to a demonstration at the quilt show in Adelaide last November. I think there is also a demo on YouTube ........

Cold here today......although it's not cold in Cheryl's house........she has two wood fires going..I will be cranking up the reverse cycle when I get home! Might do some baking as well to warm up the kitchen!

'til next time ..........Lorraine

I got this pattern from a friend and bought a bunch of Asian themed fabrics at an estate sale so I'm going to give it a whirl - just not sure what I'll do with them!

They are so cute ! I want to make some.....

Was freezing here yesterday. 13 degrees as a top temp is just plain rude.

Baking warms up the kitchen, but washing up warms up the hands, which in turn warms the body.

Thanks so much, I feel very special! And ironically I saw the most beautiful full sized kimono today when I took DS1 to a schoolmates house, whose mother is Japanese.
