Gotta love a long weekend.........

Have enjoyed a visit from Rhi and Wade...Rose also had a sleepover, spending the night at Maz's with Lexi.......as always when those two get together it was play, play and then play some more......so a nap on the lounge while I read the Sunday papers is in order.......

I have started another version of Leanne Beasley's Sew Laugh Love and because I can't be bothered choosing and changing threads I love red - I am stitching this one in one colour........loving it so far.......

With the temperature set to fall below zero again tonight (-2 last night) I have settled in with the heater on and a quilt over my knees (it's ok.....I AM a Granny! LOL) to do some more stitching.  I have been cooking up a storm with chicken lasagne and parmesan and onion bread for dinner last night (leftovers in the freezer for meals during the week) a batch of shortbread cookies today (most of which went home with Rhi and Wade) and a lamb casserole in the slow cooker for dinner tonight (and a couple of dinners during the week)........just need to make some soup tomorrow for lunches and I am ready for the week ahead......Gotta love a long weekend!

'Til next time .................Lorraine

Sounds like the perfect relaxing weekend! I would appreciate the lovely cooking aromas but I have a cold!

Its' nice that Rose can be inside with you and be warm and cosy. Your meals sound hearty and perfect for this cold weather.

Sounds like bliss! It was very chilly in Clare on the weekend - wow! But we had a couple of beautiful days for wine tasting and um... food eating! Back to reality today!
