It's perfect weather for .........

.................Hibernating.......Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr......the frost was still on the ground when I was going to work one day last week.........

It'a also perfect weather for hot choccy.......

.

I have beed doing a bit of other stuff as well.................a bit of this.......

and even a bit of this (yawn)......(and only when really necessary!!)

and a lot of this.......

accompanied as always by Rose.....LOL.....

.....but this weekend has been all about spending time with Rhiannon......we spent most of the time in the kitchen cooking up a storm.......stocking up Rhi's freezer ......

Here she is at the start of the bake-athon.....with Rose hoping there may be some goodies coming her way..............

Sausage rolls........

....along with plain scones, fruit scones, apple turnovers.....two little apple pies and spinach and bacon muffins.........

we also made potato and bacon soup and a batch of Anzac biscuits......all in all a fun time with my girl.

This morning we also cut fabrics for "Pablo's" quilt.......fun bright colours from my stash.....ths will be for a friend of Rhi's who is expecing a baby later in the year.......

So whilst I haven't posted here for a while I haven't been completely idle.......back to work tomorrow.....thank goodness there is a rest day in " le Tour" on Tuesday.....it will be a chance to catch up on some sleep!

'Til next time.......................Lorraine

Onje of the wonderful things about blogging is that it enables you to travel to distant places without leaving your home. Your mention of the frost and hot choccy made me laugh -- here in the NE US, we are enduring a monumental heat wave. Days on end of 100 degree heat, accompanied by oppressive humidity. We are fortunate that our airconditions works and that we have electricity -- many are not so lucky.

I plan to lock myself in the airconditioned sewing room this afternoon, with an iced drink, and sew up a storm. All of those wonderful baked goodies will not be far from my mind, however!

LOVE hot chocolate (especially with mini marshmallows ) and it’s certainly been the right weather for it.

All of your baking looks simply scrumptious. When can I pop over for dinner?

I cant help but notice you haven’t mentioned football ....

All that baking looks wonderful! Most of the US has been too hot for baking, but here on the SoCalif coast it is nice and cool so if I were so inclined, I could (I'm not!) Glad you had an enjoyable time with Rhi and have been spending quality time with your needle and thread as well.

Whoa when you hit the baking and cooking you hit it hard LOL. Everything looks yummy and there's nothing better than having goodies stocked away in the freezer. What a great time to spend with your daughter. I'm looking forward to a little coolness on this side of the pond :). Have a great weekend
