Catching up........

It's been a busy time at Chez Loz.......or away from Chez Loz to be more precise......

Last weekend was spent with Rhiannon helping her move house........really enjoyed spending some quality time with my girl........the move went pretty smoothly, and by Sunday afternoon when I came home she was pretty much settled in, and Wade was home from his footy trip to help with the rest of the unpacking.  I love their new house.....lovely ceilings.......

Big rooms and a lovely wide passage.....already looking good!......

Before I left on Sunday we took time out for coffee..............

.........and a run in the park with the girls...........(well....Rhi and the girls ran....I wandered around taking pics......)

Did I mention that I enjoyed spending time with my girl!

While I was helping Rhi, Rose spent the weekend with Lexi......they had a ball together as always.......but this weekend it was time for "road trip" Rose and I to head off for a girl's weekend at the beach........so yesterday morning we left at sparrows fart, picked up Linda and set off..........we met Joyce and Cheryl along the way......stopped for food for the weekend and arrived at the beach in time for brunch.  On the food shopping.......I stayed outside with Rose while the girls shopped....and when they had finished I went in for some extras.....because I knew that they would have shopped "sensibly" .......and someone had to remember the chocolate and TimTams.....!

My plan for the weekend was to finish the two shaggy quilts I had cut out a couple of weeks ago......so after I bonded with Cheryl's Janome......

and managed to turn this .........

into this.......

Of course there was lots of chatting, laughing, eating....maybe some pink bubbles....and lots of walking on the beach.....it was Rose's first visit to the beach and she wasn't sure about the water....but had loads of fun running around, fossicking in the seaweed and finding "yummy" things to roll in.....dead crabs and the like......
.

even with Cheryl's very convincing words Rose wasn't having any of it......so not going in there!!!...

Nothing like a stroll on the beach with good friends...............

After the walk it was time to get back to some stitching......Cheryl was working on a Gail Pan quilt.....oh....and Rose had to have a nap!  All that running around was pretty tiring......

and I made a start on turning this.......

......into this......

Rose waiting for the show to start.....LOL....

........and the show she was waiting for? Why.....a Quilt Show dvd of course.....we girls know how to party!!!

I didn't sped the entire weekend sewing.......I took time out to take some pics in the garden...

Fabulous weekend......good times with good friends...... we are home again now.....and Rose is snoring on the lounge....exhausted.....she had a ball and was a good little traveller.

Back to work for me tomorrow......only five tea bags in the jar....five days until I go on leave!   Yay!!!

'Til next time.............Lorraine

Really? Only 5 days to go? I bet you're almost beside yourself with excitement.

Love both the quilts Loz. And it looks like you had a fabulous weekend away. Rose certainly enjoyed the beach. Love those action shots!

Rhi and Wades house looks gorgeous.

Wow what a great weekend, how is your holiday going to top that!? OK few extra days will do it! I too enjoyed the nautical quilt on the wall, but especially the pic of that hard to find Australian mammal - singlthonga hiding in the the bushes, very worthy of a Attenbourough shot! Love the quilts you "whipped" up, someone is going to be very lucky.

Looks like you've been having a grand time! My favorite pic is the one of the girls and their wines, in front of the telly. Certainly the most fun! So glad you've been enjoying yourself.
