New York, New York!

I have been a bit tardy with my blog posts -the days have been long and fun!! Portland was amazing...lovely city ....friendly people.....lots to see and do! The highlight of the Portland visit was spending an afternoon with Kathy Schmitz and her sister Bonnie Sullivan shopping at the antique mall near Kathy's home.....lunch at a Mexican restaurant followed by a visit to Hollie Hills Patchwork Shop and a class with the girls after we had had a chance to do wander around the shop and gather up some much needed supplies (although flying does place some restrictions on the luggage you have so purchases weren't too extravagant).....A huge thank you to Kathy and Bonnie for spending the time with us when they are busy getting ready for Quilt Market in Houston. Sunday morning we were on an early flight to NewYork....and the city has not disappointed!!! What an amazing place.....so many things to see and do.....impossible to do everything on my to do/visit list in the three days we are here.....so will have to come back another day (not sure that will ever happen, but it's nice to dream!

Too many pics to add tonight!.....will try and do better next time......having a ball.....and have been trying out some cocktails with meals.......tonight's meal was one of the best I have ever had....and the cocktail went very well with it....


One more day in New York before we venture off by train to the next destination.......
