It's time to go.......................

Summer!....don't get me wrong.......it's been fun but it's time you moved on..it's not you...it's  me.....it's time we had some time apart - perhaps we will get together in a few months and see how it goes...but for now you need to leave.  I see from the forecast that you mean to stay on for a while longer but  tomorrow Autumn is moving in and there just isn't room in my life for both of you.....!

Yesterday we finally got some rain.....I am sure I heard the garden sighing with pleasure - and how timely was it that I had the gutters on the house cleaned out on the weekend..! Not much stitching happening this week - work has been busy and I have been tired in the evenings but not tired enough (or too tired?) to sleep soundly ..... which of course just makes one more tired!  I have been walking every morning with Rose and there have been some spectacular sunrises....even had to don a jacket this morning....it was quite cool. Lovely!!!

I did pick up my new gla$$e$ during the week....I like them!  Just as well as they will be on my face for the next couple of years!  Ha Ha...how serious do I look......and tired!!

I will leave you with some pics of sunrise a couple of mornings ago....

'Til next time..................Lorraine

Opposite complaint here for a lot of folks in the Northern Hemisphere :) Pretty sunrises. We have had a very dry winter which they are predicting will mean drought for our entire state. Not good.

Good you and Rose are getting your exercise even if no stitching is happening at night :)

Summer is being kicked out here in spectacular fashion today, cool and lots of rain. I'm happy to see it go. Love your new specs, I should upgrade mine to less of a granny look I think.

While I am almost always up for the sunrise , I rarely see it because you cant walk around the neighbourhood in your pyjamas (unless you want everyone talking about you) My point is - thank you for the pictures of sunrises because I never get to see them...Im so slow to get going in the morning.

And I for one am not quite ready to say goodbye to Summer. It would be nice if we could have a few more weeks of say 28C to slowly slide us into the colder weather!

Yes, summer can take its leave - I am so over the humid days with no rain.
Even today, being the first day of Autumn, the breeze is crisp and the air clear. Yay!

I agree it's time for summer to move on, I'm ready to feel cooler. I worry about my swimming weekends though, the wind chill factor may become a problem.
I need new specs...

The glasses look as good as the sunrise. Not quite ready for colder weather yet.

Excellent glasses Lorraine. Our weather has been miserable for days. I'd love some nice summer weather. It's either been stinking hot or miserable. I hope you're having a lovely weekend.

And here I am wishing away the cold weather! :-)
