It's been a quiet couple of weeks at Chez Loz......work has been busy and I have been going to bed early (for a change) and consequently not much stitching has been happening at night......nothing much else to report.......no road trips or quilting classes.....
Last Saturday Mrs P came to visit and we spent a lovely afternoon stitching and even popped out for lunch which of course meant some time was spent browsing in a few shops in Tanunda......
I did have my tray of EPP set up next to my chair for some stitching during the week but it just didn't happen so no progress has been made on the next lot of six pointed stars....
perhaps I might get some more done this week....
Last Sunday I made some progress on the "Surrounded" quilt started at the workshop at Threadbear a couple of weeks ago......that's one row done .... :)
I left the machine set up on the dining table and thought I might get some more done during the week but that didn't happen so after spending most of yesterday on domestic chores I started again this morning.......there is a lot of cutting and piecing in this quilt and I spent quite a while just cutting so I could start stitching....I decided I would cut everything which meant I could just sit and sew later.......and here you have it.....all cut out and ready to sew...
I started on the next row of sashing and after a bit of lunch and maybe a little nap I finally got back to the machine late this afternoon....I should have just left it until next weekend because there were a few points not matching and a bit of reverse sewing....I think the decision to stop came when I unpicked the wrong seam (one that was perfect in the first place and didn't need unpicking.....) grrrrrr...sometimes it's best to just put it all aside for another time...so with one almost completed row of sashing done I didn't really have much to show for the day........
Here they are in more relaxed mode indoors.....
When I left work on Friday night the moon was already up and I got a couple of pics when I got home.....very spooky I thought.......
'Til next time.............................Lorraine

Great pic of the moon...can I hear you howling? Love the EPP...and LOVE your quilt...lots of work, but definitely worth the effort. Great to have friends over...Rose looks sweet.
Maybe you have been busy.....but definitely lots of beautiful inspiration around. Love the stars and the blue/white quilt will be magnificent. Hope you have a more relaxing week this week.
love what Alison said, lol,i think i heard you howling too, lol.
Sounds like you had a wonderful day with your friend Loz.xx
I always cut a whole quilt out now (besides sashings, borders and bindings) first, so I can chain piece it. Seems to make a quilt get finished faster. I don't do it with sampler quilts, but with ones that have repeated blocks. Gets the chore of cutting out of the way first!
Now that's a perfect moon for Halloween and a good howl lol. Sometimes days roll like that don't they where ya know you should just give up the ghost and put it aside for another day. Your day with
Mrs. P sounds lovely and I'm sure Rose is enjoying her playmate. Have a super week :).

Life just gets in the way of the fun sometimes!
Ahhh--don't feel bad about not getting much done--I am in the same boat--only mine has lasted a month or more!!! My excuse has been cleaning, organizing and decluttering--slow going though!!!
Hugs, di and miss gracie
The photo of the moon is spooky!!!! Your life sounds really busy, but I love what you are doing!

Sometimes chillin' and sleeping is more important than sewing. That's just the way the cookie crumbles. If it makes you feel any better I sewed enough for both of us last week.
I love everything about your blue on blue quilt.
It was fantastic catching up with you and lunch was divine.
Sounds like some relaxed paced life and stitching is what was called for. Love your fussy cut, six pointed stars, wish I had thought of that, about 30 stars ago! The blue quilt is looking very impressive, even if a bit of unpicking is required. Love that moon picture, very Werewolf of London!
Your projects look so good Loz...
Thrilled to catch up with your updates, was beginning to worry :( I love seeing what projects you are working on and your out and about photos are always a joy to see. Something about Winter and early nights.
Not a bad blog post for "not much to tell" :)
2-1/2 weeks.
You sound like me at night lol glad that you & Mrs P had a great day together ...the blue looks good love blue quilts :) how cute are those girls ... look forward to seeing you next weekend hope you can make it :)
