not sure.....can you be jealous of suitcases?

If you can....I am!

My suitcases left on Saturday for the US....... with Rhi and Wade....unfortunately I didn't go with them :(

Rhi and Wade  spent a few days in Washington before heading to New York.

Today they met up with Mark and Terri who have most recently been enjoying their  "long trip home" travels in Ireland.  Here they are obviously having a pretty awful time watching the GF in an Irish pub.....

(Longest trip home in history I think - via Europe, UK, USA, Japan and other destinations.....) it's been 18 months since they have all been together, so I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall today!

In the meantime I will monitor their itineraries and live vicariously through them!

I had planned a blog post for the weekend but it just didn't eventuate and Sunday afternoon saw me pole-axed by an attack of vertigo...it came on suddenly and put an end to my afternoon of sewing......straight to bed without any dinner like a naughty child!  Not that I felt like having dinner!  I was thrilled to find I could stand up without feeling sick the next morning so it was off to work......looking forward to the weekend which is a long one here.....is it time for a holiday yet??

I did finish a couple of things off....oh.....and the lost is found.....the stitchery I finished and then couldn't find turned up the other day when I was having a tidy-up in the sewing room...(which actually equates to "clearing a path so I can get into the sewing room").

I must have ironed it (the stitchery) and put it with a few others  which are awaiting borders/framing etc.....I even weeded the back garden a couple of weeks ago thinking Rose may have stolen it and taken it out there.....even though it wasn't there the nicely weeded garden looks better - and Rose was none the wiser that I had thought her a thief!  Well, she did eat a rather important document a couple of months ago so she isn't entirely without form!

What else is happening?  Not much.......I have almost finished a top for a friend of Rhiannon's.....I started on the weekend with these fabrics.....and cut and sewed and trimmed.......and sewed some more......

I should get the borders on this weekend and then I can start something else... :)

I did get his little cutie stitched last week....I love this pattern!  These little birds are so cute!  the pattern is a Christmas Romance by On Pins and Needles from here - after a blog post from Kim ...I couldn't resist it!

So that's about it from me......thanks for all the comments on my "chair love" in the previous post....I love it....Rose is confused by it and I have changed the entire room around to accommodate it!

'Til next time..................Lorraine

Lovely stitchery.
I don't have suitcase envy, I'm still recovering from my last trip! But I do have chair envy. That looks so comfy.

Rose looks as though she would have liked to go too. It will be a very happy reunion for you when all the travellers come home. You are working on some lovely projects, very sweet stitchery.

Very pretty stitching and sewing there Ms. Loz.

I have a suitcase out and slowly being packed at the moment ...although I do like YOUR suitcases. Too bad they arent here or I'd be popping over to borrow them !

That stitchery is so cute! Loving the colours in your newest quilt, looking forward to seeing the end result. Hope the kids have fun, I am sure you are missing them all. I need to remember to get purple next time I go luggage shopping, must be so easy to find at the airport carousel!

I bet the kids are having a ball. LOVE that bird stitchery. How could you think that Rosie could steal your stitchery.

Love the stitcheries , I had an inner ear infection couple of weeks ago, didn't come on suddenly though I thought I had a touch of gastro till I nearly fell over getting out of the car and realised what it was. It is just the worse feeling glad you came out of it quickly.

So when do all the kids come home Loz? Hope the vertigo hasn't come back. I had that sort of thing about 10 years ago. Couldn't stop vomiting from the sea sickness feeling. Horrible, scary illness. Stitcheries are looking good!
