More Festival fun............

The Festival is almost over for another year.......It's been a fun week with lots of surprises and I am blessed to have such great family and friends who have made my week what it was!  I walked in to my office on Monday to be greeted by this......leaving no doubt what the "big number" birthday was........the thing about birthdays is I want to keep having more!!

The decorating fairies had certainly been busy!.....

Lots of good wishes and birthday love from my work mates made for a lovely day!  That night when I got home from work several parcels were waiting for me......more surprises......Thank you all so much.......!  Very thoughtful, and very much appreciated!

My online stitching group has a birthday swap, mine was the last birthday for the year and Cathy was my swap partner......she chose and made well!!  I visited London last year and loved being back there after almost 40 years......Cathy picked up a few keepsakes for me when she was there this year.....love the paper!!!

The main gift was a beautifully made pillow!  Love, love, love it!!

The group also does a Secret Santa swap and I received these packages earlier in the week......I will share the contents in my next post........

So as Christmas draws even closer, it is time to wrap up the Festival for another year.......what better way to see it out but with a get together with the NTFW girls.  We met at Tara's house and Shay was up to her usual shenanigans....making a triple cream Oreo....just because!

Val gifted me this cute Lego sewing machine which my little bear looks set to keep!

There were Christmas gifts and lots of food and of course fun.......just what the doctor ordered!  Not sure where we all went but the table looks a little deserted here!!

We talked Tara into changing her display quilt to Mrs Billings.......quite the work or art!!

Looking forward to wrapping up work on Tuesday lunch time for a much needed break over Christmas.  I still have a gift or two to buy/make and some baking to do - I decided very late that I would make Christmas cakes again this year so the fruit is soaking in brandy as I write....luckily the weather has cooled down a bit.......I wasn't looking forward to baking in 41C heat!

'Til next time.................Lorraine

Looks like you had a great festival, it is a pity it only happens once a year. Enjoy your break from work, and good luck with the Chrissy cakes.

How fun is that? I've decided to keep having birthdays too--but I won't be greedy, I only want 50 more or so :)

All that great loot, great friends, stitching, cake, and quilting. What could be better for the big 6-0?

You deserve to be made a fuss of every day - you're one of the loveliest people I know. So glad your annual Festival gave you everything you deserve.

I still maintain Oreo should come out with triple filling cookies so I dont have to make my own.

Glad you had a great birthday Loz! Having more birthdays is much better than the alternative! I love the Union Jack cushion. It's in my favourite French General fabrics.
