The Festival of Loz........

For those who may be new to my blog, the Festival of Loz is all about me!  I love birthdays and tomorrow is a big number......60!  not sure where the years have gone!  I had a fantastic day today surrounded by family and dear friends.....great food and lots of laughs!

Thank you to everyone who came, called, emailed or text today to wish me well for the first in a series of fun things to celebrate my birthday.....the festival will continue for a week or so and I am looking forward to catching up with the girls next Saturday for some stitching.

A huge thank you to Amanda and Heath at Sugar and Spice Cakes - .........the cake was a-m-a-z--I-n-g!!!  I sent a few pics of some quilts (some that I have bought and some that I have made) All they had to go on apart from that was that I would like a quilting theme and no purple :)

So is this a cake...or is this a cake!?   the main cake was surrounded by cupcakes......

Some family pics.......Wade and Mark........

The odd one out without sunnies.......

KC photo bombing.......

Shane and his boys......

Mark giving Rhi some tips on "the thumb"......

more photo fun......

What more could a girl want.......

Flowers AND pink moscato in single serve bottles........

Some of the lovely gifts I received.....Shay gave me the Queen Bee cushion (nice that she recognises that!)...and a cheese board with sticky-in things with cheese names....that means next time stitching is here she expects a full cheese board (with names!) ......I love the photo of Rhi and I which she took back in June after we had had a fun day shopping and just hanging out together...love it! we were at the beach and it was freezing........

So ends the first day of the Festival........it's late now, I am tired but very happy......I am a lucky lady! (the Pandora gift bag held a super cute London bus Pandora charm from Mark and Terri...)

'Til next time.......................Lorraine

Hello,
happy birthday!
I took the liberty of sharing a picture of the cake on a French quilters forum. I hope you don't mind.
