Hibernating....

If you read my blog because you want to see progress on my stitching projects......look away now :)

The pear pic doesn't have anything to do with the post, I just came home from shopping and  put them on the bench and thought they looked good...

I think I must have some bear blood as I seem to be doing a lot of eating and sleeping this winter –  throw in work and you pretty much have my life for the past few months.  I see everyone busy on IG and blogs with new and exciting projects and as I walk past my sewing room on my way to work or to bed I look in  -  it reminds me of an installation in a museum that you just peer into and wonder what life must have been like for the person who once stitched in there!

So.....no sewing going on.....and since catching up with friends doesn't just mean liking their posts on IG or FB I need to do better in that regard as well!

Weekends seem to fly by with a bit of food shopping and house work along with going to watch Mark play football on Saturdays leaving Sundays for other "stuff".....I have been doing a bit of cooking on Sundays and freezing meals for the week - the weather has been quite cold, so a perfect time for soups - some experimentation there has been rewarded with some great combinations of flavours (and colours!)

My morning walks have become quite addictive - so in order to fit in a good walk and still make it to work on time I need to get up early.....this means most nights I am bed early....which also saves on heating costs!!

Whilst I have plenty of inspiration for stitching I seem to have lost my motivation at the moment  - but I am sure it is hibernating somewhere and will be back soon!

Reading has also taken up quite a bit of my spare time of late - a couple of years ago I bought a book at an airport and once I finished it was keen to read the next in the trilogy.....purchased it on Google Play and finished it in a couple of days.....keen to read the next one I was disappointed to find the third book hadn't been written yet.....so have been keeping an eye out for it......and it was released a week or so ago......after a few pages I decided to re-read the second book to reacquaint myself with the characters .....so I have had my head stuck in a book (well in the iPad really, but that doesn't quite to have the same ring to it!) most evenings in bed.

I will leave you with a few pics taken a couple of weeks ago on a visit to the Yorke Peninsula to watch Mark play footy......after the game we went to the beach for a while before heading home......

Til next time..................Lorraine
(there may even be some stitching pics then!)

Still being very creative with your photography, it doesn't always have to be sewing. Life sounds busy and full.

It sounds like you’re still having a life – you just arent stitching at the moment. The will do so will come back when it’s good and ready. In the meantime you;re probably subconsciously collecting inspirational ideas.

I must confess to hibernating and sleeping quite a bit myself !

Good to hear everything is ok and you're still having fun, your mojo will return, probably at a very inconvenient time, it's just hibernating too..

Sounds like you and I are in the same boat. No craftyness happening here.
I know that jetty well.

I find if I start reading, the world kind of stops so I don't read unless I really need some downtime. Can't say that this winter is much fun.. which reminds me I better shut the house up and crank up the heater.

Hmm where is that jetty? I think it is a bit north of me. Who is Mark playing footy for this year?
