Where was I?

....I have no idea really :)  Not strictly true of course, I do keep a fairly close eye on myself to make sure I am where I am supposed to be ...most of the time!

Last Friday Kris and I set off for Port Campbell to attend Linda's Stitch in Spring with Gail Pan and Leanne Beasley....we got off to an early start (I think even before sparrow's fart) and after a stop around midday for lunch, some fuel for the car and a bit of a wander to stretch the legs we were back on the road for another few hours......mid afternoon we arrived at Elm Grove Patchwork to catch up with Lenora (oh, ok ..and to buy a few things......) ....and quite by accident we ran into Gail who had also decided on a stopover on her way to Port Campbell.....(aint nobody getting that white bag off Gail!!...)

....a little peek at a corner of Lenora's shop ....

Then it was off on the final leg of the trip...and an early-ish night in preparation for the stitching day on Saturday.......

Settling in at the table....everyone attending got a dilly bag along with a bag full of patterns and kits for the day......

...and just so I don't forget who I am.....a name badge.......

Kris getting organised while I flitted around taking photos and chatting.....and maybe doing some shopping.....

.....and speaking of shopping.....no prizes for guessing where the shop was located in the venue.......the day was scheduled to start at 10am so Linda suggested we arrive from 9.15 to allow for some shopping/chatting time before then......great idea!!

spotted this on the way in.....Gail was in da house!!

and here she is in front of the display of some of her work ......

she has been a busy girl.....

Leanne also had a lovely display of some of her work.....the project for the day was the bag at the front......

Leanne and Linda helping everyone get down to some stitching......

meanwhile I was thinking about what to stitch.....

How big should the stitch be Leanne???

Later......

One could easily be distracted by the view....

All too soon it was time to pack up - it seemed like we had just arrived!  Another fun day with great company! Thanks Linda - you really know how to throw a stitching day!

a bit more of our time in Port Campbell next time......

'til then.......Lorraine

It does look like a rather lovely venue to stitch the day away.....and do a little shopping. Always exciting to meet celebrity stitchers too!

Awesome venue, but big big road trip! I am beginning to think your a secret tourist ambassador for Victoria and her quilt shops!

Love Leanne’s hexie quilt – just my kind of quilt colour wise. And your goody bags look so pretty! Im just imagining all the fantastic things that were in them.

That view is just perfect – very calming and probably added to the beauty of the project I saw on Saturday that you managed to finish
